Remains

Snowflakes falling, slowly dancing tonight,
Raindrops course their way through the empty sky,
Hail thunders down, beating and causing destruction.
All pass right by me as I slowly die.

The leaves fall down, down, down, down from the treetops,
The ashes all lay scattered and just may,
Given the right amount of time,
Hopefully I can join that mass of grey.

But say a simple word, save me from myself,
And in return, I give you all that remains.
