Chapter 2: MOLLY

I watch as Eve and the orphanage go out of sight. While we are driving to the new house I notice that my step-parents aren't much of chit chatters, so I decide to start a conversation, "um... thanks for adopting me?" All they do is nod there heads. My step-mother tries cheering me up by saying, "Don't worry sweetie we are getting closer to your new home!"
As we pull into a huge driveway, a man wearing a white, shiny tuxedo opens the limo door. "Welcome home ma'am" he says with a big smile. I step out and almost pass out looking at the house.
There are golden stairs leading up to the main door which is made out of dark wood and clear glass on the sides. To me, it looks like they have millions of rooms, and tons of food just waiting for me. "Come on Molly! Make yourself at home!" My step-mother orders me to go inside. As I walk into the mansion I over run with joy! "Eeek!", I scream. Somebody comes up from behind me which causes me to scream even louder,"AAAH!" When I look behind me there is a little girl- about three, or four. She is wearing a pink, sparkly, long dress. "Hi, my name is Kate!" She stands up proudly and awaits a response from me, her blue eyes beaming proudly. "Hey" I manage to say. "Come on don't be shy! I'll show you around!" She starts walking away through the house showing me every detail there has to be.

"This is your room! Isn't it perfect!" She tosses her curly blond hair back over her shoulder. "Wow! Thank you so much!"I tell her. She tells me to make me feel at home, and who couldn't say no to such a cute little girl.
The first thing I notice about my room is that it's H.U.G.E! Maybe the rooms here are huge, but after living in an orphanage for ten years it's a big difference. In the center of the room there was a huge water bed(awesome) with curtains coming down the side(double awesome). The bed was just the right size like it was made just for me. In the left side of the room there was a wooden closet. I open it up,inside, there are three pairs of shoes. One bright pair of orange tennis shoes, a pair of flip flops, and a pair of boots." "Wow." I exclaim. I hadn't had a new pair of shoes since like... FOREVER!
After unpacking my stuff, I lay on my comfy bed only to be interrupted by Kate. She is now wearing her curly hair into two pigtails with GIANT bows. Instead of wearing her pink sparkly dress, she has a navy skirt and a white shirt. "C'mon! Mom and Dad have a surprise for you!"
When we reach the kitchen table, there are lots and I mean lots of people starring at me. I'm not much of a public speaker, but I decided to be polite. "Hello, nice to meet you." Kate pulls out a chair for me to sit."Thank you" I look around the table, and see that there are men putting trays in front of every person. "What are those things for?" I ask confused. "They're trays silly!" Kate tells me. I open mine up, and I can't believe my eyes. At the orphanage, all we would eat was cabbage soup(YUCK) and oatmeal(DOUBLE YUCK). Standing on my tray was a medium sized steak, cooked well. There was a pack of orange juice for Kate and Me. The best of all was the dessert. I've never actually tried cheese cake, but to me it looked like I was standing in the middle of food paradise!
I really just wish that food would never end! After I finished all my cheesecake with chocolate pudding I felt stuffed, but then again I wish I could just have more!
When I reach my room, I lay on my bed and get ready to go to sleep. As I'm tucking myself in, there is a beep coming from my bag. I open it. Inside was my new phone that my parents had just given me. On the screen there is a tab that says, "you have 1 message" I click it and read the message. It's from Eve! I got really happy to see that Eve hadn't gotten mad at me, but what was in the message shocked me. "No! It couldn't be! That means that... Oh no" I rush to my door. It's locked. "Help!" I yell.
