Chapter 35

Next day I woke up a bit late. I went to the kitchen and saw my dad already left for work. He cooked breakfast and lunch for me and left a note for me. I smiled and finished my breakfast. After that I remembered of my old friend Ashwin Malhotra. He is our common friend. Always really helpful. I can rely on him anytime I know it. He's my best buddy. He always offered me to work for him. He is actually in same profession as Rohan. He always offered me the same post. His company is still growing. He has a proper office of 75 employees. He told me the offer will always be open for me. I know the work well now. I really need a job now. Cause if I continue to work for him I have to go to his house that's why I want to quit. So I called him.

Natasha : Hello?
Ashwin : Hah! Today's sun is shining differently. Cause I got to hear a melodious voice of a beautiful lady. How could I get that much lucky that you remembered this non existent person?
Natasha : Will you ever quit flirting?
Ashwin : Kya karu o lady mai hu aadat se majboor. ( What to do lady? It's my habit.)
Natasha : Come on now stop this nonsense.
Ashwin : How are you my lady?
Natasha : I am not your lady you dumbo.
Ashwin : ok ok. My bad luck.
Natasha : I want to ask you about something.
Ashwin : What is it?
Natasha : Do you remember you offered me the HR position in your company?
Ashwin : Never forgot about it.
Natasha : Is the offer still open?
Ashwin : Never closed it. Why asking all of a sudden?
Natasha : I would like to accept the offer but I want to get it in proper way like giving interview and all that.
Ashwin : Hey wait. What happened? Didn't you work for Rohan.
Natasha : It's a long story. But I need a job now Ashwin.
Ashwin : Ok. Let's meet today and talk as friends. Then after two days come to my office for the interview. In these two days collect all the important documents. Then submit it the same day you give interview.
Natasha : uumm... Can I submit my documents after 2months? I need to change something.
Ashwin : Ok. I get it I missed many thing. Ok let's meet for lunch at our usual restaurant. Ok?
Natasha : Cool. I will get going now. Bye.
Ashwin : See you.
I hung up the phone then called Rohan for my work.

Rohan : Hey.
Natasha : Hi.
Rohan : Are you fine?
Natasha : Much better. You?
Rohan : Me too. I am feeling light and great.
Natasha : How's Asha? Is she in school?
Rohan : Yes. Today I dropped her off to school myself.
Natasha : Rohan. I wanted to talk about something.
Rohan : Yes?
Natasha : I want to quit the job.
Rohan *took a deep breath* : I can understand. But tell me one thing. Do I also lose a friend with my Project manager and HR?
Natasha : Never. I am stick with you. You can't get rid of me that easily.
Rohan : Then send me you resignation through email. I will give you the documents you will need to get a job. Is that ok?
Natasha : Thanks so much Rohan. I am sending the mail right away.
Rohan : Ok. Bye. I have to finish this work early cause I will go and pick up Asha from school.
Natasha *smiled* : I knew my daughter will be in great hands. I know I can rely on you with our daughter
Rohan *chuckled* : Ok Mam. Now bye.
Natasha : Bye.
Then I got ready and went to our usual restaurant to meet Ashwin. After waiting there for 5mins Ashwin came.
Ashwin : What happened?
Natasha : Calm down. Are you ok?
Ashwin : Yeah I am fine. Doing great. Still single. Don't know girls lost their taste in good men.
Natasha : Still the flirt king. No wonder you are still single.
Ashwin : Now tell me what about you.
Natasha : So much happened I don't know where to start.
Ashwin *notices her swollen cheek and got angry* : Start from that swollen cheek of yours. Who did this? Rohan?
Natasha : What? No!
Ashwin : Natasha start taking now.
Then I told him everything. He was always been like my personal diary. I can tell him anything I know. So I share each and everything without disclosing the identity and name.
Ashwin : Wow. So... You are in love.... With some Korean guy and don't want to take his name. You slept with him. Then you are realised the exact right thing by divorcing that jerk Rohan.
Natasha : Pretty much it. But don't say like that about Rohan. He has unbelievably changed.
Ashwin *scoffs* : He was always a jerk. That's why he lost a gem like you. If he has changed it's too late for him now.
Natasha : Yeah.
Ashwin : That's a lot to process but you did the right thing. I have always told you that but you never took me seriously. You deserve all the happiness of this world.
Natasha : Stop it. Now let's order the lunch. I am starving.
