My Clarity

Chapter 1

Cintra~

It was finally the day, my eleventh birthday. My presents from my parents were all on the designated table, decorations were set, and my parents were happy as ever. I had my birthday gown picked out and ready. There was just a couple of things missing before my gala started. One being that the guests haven't even arrived yet, and second my Hogwarts letter. There's no way that I won't get one, I've been showing magical signs since the day I was born. My parents told me that when I started crying, things would levitate. It's not a coincidence considering my long magical background. 

My family is full of Hufflepuff witches and Slytherin wizards. It's without a doubt I'll end up in either one. There's one exception to the family line, my mother was a Slytherin when she was in school. One of the most brilliant witches I have ever met and I'm not just saying that. She doesn't even use her wand anymore.

I was pulled from my thoughts when my mother called me from the bottom of the grand staircase. "Cinni, honey, you need to be getting ready. Don't say you are because I know you" "I know mother, I was just about to shower". After I showered, I did my hair with a charm my mother taught me, capillus crispum. The spell always has your hair in perfect curls that never fall. I did my makeup by hand with help from our house elf, Elby. I put on my white dress and made my way to the ballroom of our manor.

The room was decorated in silver and gold. Guests were expected to start showing soon. The first to show were the Greengrass family. Their daughters Daphne and Astoria have known me since we were small. Soon after them the Notts showed, then the Parkinsons, then the Malfoys, and then a bunch of my mother and father's friends. I made my way to the front table when I heard someone call me, "Cintra, Happy Birthday, I wanted you to open this just me and you," said the gelled boy. "Well thank you Dray; I haven't seen you since your party". "Just open it Cinni, I can't wait any longer!" he said eagerly. "Okay, okay". I opened the gift, and it was a black box. Inside held the most beautiful necklace I had ever seen. A silver chain with a singular heart with embellishments and a diamond just placed in the middle. "Well go on open the locket" I did just that and inside was a picture of Draco and I from when we were babies. Sleeping together peacefully in the same cradle. "Thank you Dray" I said with tears welling in my eyes. "It's beautiful, would you mind?" I questioned, gesturing him to help me put it on. He did just that and I felt his cold hands touch my neck. He planted a kiss on my cheek and turned me around.

Music started to play, and we made our way to the dance floor. We danced, not caring what anyone thought. Just then an owl swooped down and dropped a letter right at my feet. My Hogwarts letter, the only present I was looking forward to. I opened the letter and just as I thought it was my supply list. I can't wait for next week. 

We finished off the night and all of my friends got to stay over. We watched movies and fell asleep on the sofa. My parents love muggle objects, just not muggles. All the snacks you could imagine were layed out on the coffee table. All of us cuddled together during a scary movie and it was great.

The next morning, we all went shopping for school in town. We weren't very happy that we couldn't bring our own brooms. Especially Draco and I, we were devastated. "Honestly who even made that a rule, I just want to play quidditch Cinni" Draco said. "It was probably Dumbledore. Who even made him headmaster anyway?" "We can't change it so just deal with it, besides Cintra can't even play her parents won't allow it" Blaise said. "I can too, what they don't know won't kill them. I'll be the youngest and best quidditch player Slytherin house has ever seen." "Alright whatever let's just go get our animals and then our lists are done" said Daphne to me. I scoffed and we walked into the pet shop. I saw the most gorgeous black kitten I've ever layed eyes on. I ended up getting it, then I named her Diamond. It was quite fitting considering her eyes were the perfect shade of blue.

I made my way home and then packed my belongings in my white and gold trunk with my surname engraved on it. I can't believe that in a couple days I'll be leaving to go to Hogwarts. So many adventures await. Magic and fun and all sorts of things. The last thing that I'm extremely excited for, Draco, my very best friend. Of course, the twins Daphne and Astoria are a plus, but they live right down the street, and I see them often. Nothing can change my mind about this, it's going to be a great year.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy, I know I've been absent with my writing and stuff. I'm sorry about that and I'll try to write more on my Irondad and Spiderson fic. A couple updates, I'm graduating Highschool soon, yayyyyy. Then it's back off to school in May for college to get my Marine Biology degree. Anyways enjoy this new fic.
