The Unseen Girl

chapter one - The girl

I woke up to my alarm going off on my phone. Ugh! I look to see what time it is, and it is 6:30 am, which is usually what I get up at so I can give myself some time to fully wake up. My brothers, Ian and Alex, have to wake up at 6:00 am because they have to get the bus to school, whilst I have my very excellent best friend dan to drive me to school. Since my father isn't around anymore and my mum works challenging shifts to keep us going, I have to wake up earlier and get breakfast ready and my younger sister, Ell, prepared for school.

In school, here I am, where apparently no one sees me, and I'm just someone to come to when they need help with homework or something. Anyhow, it's time for science, which is my fav lesson only because Noah, my big fat crush, is there. The only thing that I hate about that class is that I do not sit next to him, which is very unfortunate since there is a seat next to me waiting for him. I go into the class as the teacher says we are doing a project, and I look around, and everyone has already been partnered up except me, which is typical because I'm the " the unseen girl", right? But then I heard a voice behind me, and I instantly knew who it was by their voice. It was Noah, I could feel the joy bouncing out of my body, thinking he would ask me to be his partner, but he simply said, "can I borrow that chair" he didn't even say please, it looks like I have been watching too much typical high school romance movies. Guess I will be doing the project alone.

"Ring, ring!" went the bell. Oh, it must be lunch. I have to find dan to tell him about science; I guess I'm never going to go to prom since I literally have no one to go with.

"Hey Dan, guess what happened in science today,"  I said

"What happened," Said Dan

"We had to get into partners for a project, and Noah came up to me, and I was stupid enough to think that he wanted to get into a partnership with me but ended up  just asking me for a fucking chair, yea a fucking chair, he didn't even say please and thank you."

"Really, I don't even know why you like him; he is so annoying and rude, but of course, you have to like the person you are most likely not going to date."

"Thanks dude, you really put my hopes up."

"Aww, your welcome", he giggles                                                                                                                                    "well, I better get going now. I have to go and stare at the relationship that's never going to happen."

Well, that is my life, crushing on a kid that I will never get with. As you can already tell, I live with my mum, two brothers, Ian and Alex, and a sister, Ell. I live in Chicago; I go to Northside high school with my best friend dan, and I am 15. As you can tell, I love my life; it can never get any better, except the part where I haven't got with Noah yet, which is at the top of my list.

It's Saturday, and I usually invite dan over, watch Netflix, and relax on Saturday. Then I drag Dan with me to watch Noah at his soccer practice. So that's all we are going to do today.

"Oh, hey dan, so what time r u planning on coming over," I said on the phone.

"I will be there at 1:30", He replied

"ok"

After a while, he finally got her, and we were catching up on some of the episodes of the vampire diaries. And then we headed to Noah's practice, we usually just sit on the benches, and no one notices us. Of course, I have a copy of Noah's calendar, so I know what he is doing in the week to observe him from a distance. He wouldn't notice me anyway. As we got there, things were going as usual until they started staring at us, and one of Noah's friends came up to Dan asking him if he wanted to play. And Of course, I told him that he had to go so that he could become friends with him and implant how great of a person I am into Noah's head.

"I don't know how to play soccer, and I will just embarrass myself. and we all know that I'm not very social." Said, Dan

"oh, well, you just go? For me, I need him to notice me, for crying out loud."

"Fine, I will go just for you. don't forget you owe me." Dan said as he was walking towards them

I watched dan play for hours and hours with them. He looked like he was having fun, but I needed him to try and go out with them and become friends with them to give feedback to me and implant amazing things about me in his head so that he could like me. Since middle school, I have had a crush on him. It has been very hard just going to school and not getting noticed by the person you like for quite a while now. After like 3 hours of playing none stop they start leaving, and of course, knowing me, I'm going to follow them because it looks like they are going out, which is good on dan's part. They ended up going to the mall, and from what it looked like, a girl was going up to them, lets just hope that it's not Noah's girlfriend because I would die. She started getting closer and closer as you could see the sweat coming down my face. I thought that I should just go home and start binge-watching and eating ice cream for the rest of my life because as she got there, she ran up to Noah and gave him the longest hug. It was torture.
