          Golden rays of light shown in through the windows of the 'Final Corridor', where a violent battle had just ended. A puddle of blood stained the checkered floor of the hall, growing as more blood dripped from the victim of a fatal attack. Across the foyer stood a child with the most evil look in their eyes. They held a bloody knife in their hands. They have passed the last obstacle in their path. This was the end of this timeline. Satisfied with the outcome, the child started for the last room, where they would meet the king, finishing this genocide run and start another. They passed the dying skeleton without a care. "So....." The bloodied figure started. "Guess that's it huh?....... Just... don't say I didn't warn ya....." The skeleton hacked. "Welp..... I'm going to Grillby's......" The figure shuffled in the opposite direction of the child. "Papyrus...... do you want anything?"

~~~~~
Grillby stood behind the counter, tending to the cores he abandoned during the panic. He knew that the genocidal child would be far from Snowdin at this point. No point staying here when they already killed many of it's residents. Grillby wiped down the tables of his bar, saddened by the empty seats. Most of the regulars died at the blade of the child's knife, leaving the bar strangely quiet. He sighed. He could only hope the evacuation of the rest of the Underground was sucessful. His mind was interrupted by the ringing of the bell attached to the door, alerting him of someone entering. His head turned toward the noise and his eyes met the sight of a small figure standing in the doorway, drenched in blood, leaving a red trail behind them as they walked in. "Heya Grillbz..." The newcomer struggled to say, their legs trembling under them. "SANS!" Grillby shouted, dashing to his friend's side. "Sans! Don't worry, I gotcha!" Grillby caught Sans as he fell, his legs giving out. He was a bloody mess. "Sans, you're going to be ok! You're going to be ok!" Grillby said, trying to belive in this fantasty. Quickly, he sprung into action, laying his friend on the floor and using the towel he used to wipe down the tables, pressed on the injury in an attempt to stop the bleeding. "Sans, what happened?" Grillby asked, pushing as hard as he could on the wound. "I... fought the... human...." Sans spat out. "What?! But you said you wouldn't! They're dangerous!" "Heh... Sorry Grillbz..... you know......I'm no good at...... making promises......." Sans' voice trailed off. "Sans!" "Heh...... heh......" Sans laughs, his voice coming off weak and shaky. It was obvious that Sans was straining himself just to speak. Grillby felt tears swell in his eyes, threatening to fall. The life in Sans' eyes began to fade as they slowly closed. "Sans! Stay with me!" There was no respone as Sans' breathing faded. "NO! SANS!"Grillby cried. He felt tears about to flow down his cheeks. He couldn't hold them back anymore. Sans body was completely still. All the life the skeleton held before vanished into nothing. This was it. Sans was gone, his body turning to dust and spreading across the hardwood floor of the bar. The battle for life was over. It was all over. "No. NO!" Grillby cried. All he could do was stare at the clumps of dust that just seconds ago was his best friend. An overwhelming sense of grief hit him. "No... no...." The flame monster sobbed, clutching Sans' jacket close to his chest, burying his face into the fluff inside the winter coat. He stays in that position, the scene playing in his head over and over. When he finally lays the bloodied jacket on the ground, he stares once again at the mess on the floor. There was blood everywhere where Sans laid in his final moments. Blood soaked clothes laid there in the puddle, covered in Sans' dust, and a bloody towel rests nearby. Then Grillby takes a look at his own hands that where drenched in his friend's blood. This only triggered him to curl up and cry again.
He couldn't save him.
He didn't save anyone.
