It was late at night and little Samantha Winchester didn't like that all the thunder was keeping her awake. She had been through thunderstorms before but never had she experienced one in the middle of the night. Terrified of all the bright flashes and loud noises that kept happening, the little girl ran out of her room and snuck into her older brother's room.

"Dean," she said, shaking him awake. Dean groaned and opened his eyes to find his little sister in his room.

"Sammy," Dean said. "Why are you here? Shouldn't you be in bed?"

"I can't sleep, there is too much scary noise!" she cried. "Make it stop, please De,"

"Come here," Dean said as he sat up and pulled the blankets off him. "You can sleep with me tonight if you want," She beamed and climbed onto the bed so she could hug him. It took a while for her to stop crying but once she did, she asked her big brother a question.

"Dean, how long will you love me?" She asked. "You say forever but how long is forever?" Samantha often asked a lot of questions but never had she asked something like this.

"Forever is long, kiddo," Dean said. "Longer than even time itself,"

"Wow, that is very long," Sam answered. "Does that mean I can stay with you forever?" she continued. "I want to do that,"

"Yes it does," Dean responded with a smile. "I won't let anything bad happen to you and I will do anything to keep you safe," Samantha called him a superhero but then yawned since it was way past her bedtime.

"De I want to go to the beach tomorrow," she mumbled sleepily. The six-year-old fell asleep before her brother could answer. Dean smiled and pulled the covers over the two of them, the minute Dean's head hit the pillow he was out like a light. However, at three in the morning, Dean could feel his sister getting out of bed. He pretended to be asleep as he heard his sister's footsteps walking toward his window.

"Sammy?" Dean questioned as he woke to find his sister only staring out the window. "Sammy? What are you doing? It's three in the morning,"

"My friend woke me up," Samantha responded like it was no big deal. "He is outside," something was off not long ago she was freaking out now she wasn't scared at all. "Look," she pointed. Dean didn't see anything since the pouring rain made it impossible to see anything.

"I don't see anything," Dean said as he took his sister's arm and attempted to take her back to the bed. "Come on, we've got school in the morning,"

"But my friend is calling me," Samantha argued. "Okay I will sleep for you Dean," she sighed. Now Dean really knew something was off, was he having some kind of nightmare? Since when did his sister talk about some friend talking to her at three in the morning. Shaking his head, he got back in the bed with his sister and the two tried to go back to sleep. But once again his sister got up from the bed and started walking downstairs. Dean groaned in annoyance since he had to go and get his sister and started following her. He paused at the entryway as Sam grabbed her coat and walked out into the pouring rain. Grabbing his leather jacket Dean walked out and started following his sister. His sister continued to walk until she arrived at a forest and walked inside.

Dean wasn't far behind as he was closing in on his sister. Dean got into the forest until eventually he found himself near a clearing and hidden behind the nearest tree. At first, it was hard to see, but in the darkness, he saw a figure that was eight feet tall with long limbs. It seemed to be paying his sister attention more than him. Not willing to take chances, Dean remained quite still until he heard a raspy voice talking to his sister.

"You have come, my friend," said the tall man in a raspy voice.

"Yes, you said we would have lots of fun if I did," Samantha answered. She had lost the bright tone in her voice and sounded like she was in a trance. Dean panicked and tried to get her attention but she pushed him away. "No, not now Dean I have to go,"

"Sammy!" Dean said but suddenly "We have to go! This man is dangerous!"

"Silence!" exclaimed the man as he used one of his long tentacles to knock Dean against the tree. Dean hit the tree so hard that his vision had started to blur. "Come, Samantha, let's go back to my place, we'll have all kinds of fun,"

"Sammy.." Dean said before blacking out.
