Chapter 19

We take a left and then a right and then another right, or was it a left? This a maze of alleyways. I see the main road! I see a figure. It's someone holding a gun, I turn and run. I hear a gunshot, he missed. I turn back and with one quick shot he falls. We run down another alley. I run into a guy around the corner. He's tries to bring a gun out but I grab his wrist and snap it before he can pull the trigger. I grab Oscars hand and we keep running. We just keep getting more and more lost in these stupid alleyways! I then hear a gunshot. I then feel a stinging pain in my foot. Then it becomes worse. " Fuck my foot!" I yell as I continue running

We come across a large clearing. It's a warehouse, perfect! I run with Oscar into it. I look around, there's a ladder. I run to it and climb up Oscar right behind me. It's just a maze of beams. I start to make my way across one. " Stop Sordo you shouldn't do that!" Oscar says

" Why? I know I won't fall," I say looking back at Oscar

" Sordo just stop, your scaring me,"

" Fine, you know your so cute when your scared for me," I say teasingly

" Just come back, let's go on the roof,"

" Alright," I say walking back to Oscar

We climb up through a window onto the roof and sit up there. I then hear a bang and see some sparks on the building. " Shit!" I yell 

I get down low to the building and so does Oscar. I look up and see the gunman, I bring out my revolver and shoot his leg. He falls forward and smashes his face of the ground. I hear a bang and then a shot of pain on my head. He shot before he fell. I touch the spot where the pain is, just above my left eyebrow. It just grazed my skin but it's still bleeding. I then feel something wet hit my head. I look up, storm clouds. It's starting to rain. In a minute it's already pouring. Oscar looks up to try and see the man. I then see him start to slip off because of the slick rain. He starts to slide forward off the roof. Shit! I slide forward and grab his wrist before he falls. " Sordo, please don't let go of me!" He yells

I start to slip and I end up falling as well. I catch the end of the roof with my hand. I hang on for dear life. Please I just need to hand on a little longer. My fingers then lose grip and we fall. I land in a dumpster and Oscar falls in with me. " Shit my leg!" Oscar cries out

" It must be broken, let's get you out of here," I say helping him out

The guy on the ground is still alive. I need to finish him of or he could kill us. I come up to him and push his head into the ground to stop him from moving. " Well look at that, the red on face is matching you, and goodness your bleeding! Must be a horrible feeling," I say sarcastically

" Please help me, I have a family, a wife and kids!" He yells

" Aw you're down and your pleading," I say

" Please!" He screams 

 I stand up and take out my revolver. I aim for the man's head and pull the trigger. I hear footsteps from another alleyway. I point my revolver towards the sound. 

" Woah Sordo calm down it's just us," Vix says coming out of the darkness of the alleyway

She's followed by Nicky and Jace.  " Oh thank god," I say bringing Oscar over to them trying to get him some help. " What happened?" Nicky asks getting down and looking over Oscar

" We were on the roof trying to hide from some of the gunmen and we fell, I think his leg is broken," I say

" Well let me take a look at it," Nicky says feeling Oscars leg

" BANG!!" 

" Fuck!" Nicky shouts holding their shoulder

I look up, a gunman on the roof. I take a shot at him. My bullet hits his neck and he slides off the roof onto the ground. I then hear multiple peoples footsteps coming. " Sordo, take Oscar and run!" Vix yells

" I'm not leaving you!" I yell

" Don't stay for me, leave for Oscar Sordo, save him!" She yells

I pick Oscar up off the ground and run towards another alleyway. I can hear the gunshots and screaming. I try not to look back and just keep going. I run as fast as I can, I can feel myself falling. I must've tripped. I turn to fall on my back so I don't hurt Oscar. I want to keep him safe, he's already hurt as it is. I fall on my back and slide on the concrete. I get back up but I feel a shiver of pain down my spine. I must have broken my tailbone or damaged it. I can't walk that well, so I just slide into a side alleyway and hide with Oscar behind a dumpster. " Sordo are we going to be okay?" Oscar asks, his voice shaky   

He starts shaking, so I put my arms around his shoulders and hold him close. He then turns and burys his head into my chest, sobbing. I mess with his hair trying to calm down, just whispering sweet nothings and reassurances in his ear. He eventually stop shaking. " I think it's safe to move out of this area now," I whisper

" Ok," Oscar says
