"I don't know...I'm kinda nervous."

Kangta clutched on the thick sleeves of his coat. He held them tight as he mindlessly bit on the tip of his nails.

"You'll be fine! It's just been a while y'know, it's normal to be nervous!"

He looked down at shoes, tapping his toes against the wooden floor. The shoes were a little stiff. Its heels were smooth and vibrant with color. Its laces were clear of any signs of wear. They were a gift from a close friend of his, Tony. He had spent a lot of time and money buying these shoes, while all Kangta could offer were a pack of skittles stuffed inside a Christmas themed mug.

"I think I'm gonna puke," Kangta rushed to the bathroom.

Laughter sprung out from his phone.

"God! Kangta pull yourself together! It's only a date!"

He splashed his face with cold water. He remembered being told that would help him calm down. The sinking feeling at the pit of his stomach just wouldn't go away. He didn't think this would be such a huge deal for him. After all, it was only just a date.

He picked up his phone from the sink and continued his conversation.

"You don't understand Woohyuk. You didn't see this guy!"

"What? He dreamy? Gorgeous?"

"Yes!" Kangta threw his towel across the bathroom. He was really losing his mind over a guy. A guy he met just outside a liquor store.

"Are you sure you didn't just fell for me? Kangta please, Tony is like, literally right next to me."

He rolled his eyes, "No Woohyuk. I'm not talking about you."

"Oh, so you agree? You think I'm very dreamy?"

Kangta chuckled. He caught on with what Woohyuk was trying to do. And it was working.

"Yes, Woohyuk you are very dreamy, but you are not the cause of my little mental breakdown right now," he looked at his reflection in the mirror. He began to fix the little strands of freshly cut hair on his face.

"Well, in a way I am responsible. I'm the one who pushed you out, remember?"

Kangta smiled as he remembered that god-awful night. Well, an almost god-awful night. If it weren't for Woohyuk's recklessness, he wouldn't have met the man of his dreams. The man he didn't think he was real. The man he was currently losing his entire fucking shit over. The man whose name even made him weak on the knees: Lee Jaewon.

"Yeah," Kangta's smile grew, "I remember."

He took a quick glance at his watch. It was a quarter pass eight.

"I should probably get going. Thanks for calling me!"

"That's what friends are for! Good luck on your date hot stuff!"

Kangta ended the call.

He made sure he didn't have anything stuck on his teeth. He combed his hair one last time and walked out the bathroom.

The spot for their date tonight was rather close to Kangta's apartment, just three blocks down the road. He decided to walk it; the cold air might do him some good.

He chose a small café for the occasion. He thought it was very cheesy and stupid at first, but Jaewon seemed to be into the idea of meeting there. Besides, Woohyuk had been blabbering about this place for months now so he just wanted to give it a try to shut him up.
