The egg solemnly laid on the straw that was plastered across the wooden shelf. A hen went to sit down but a human hand stopped the hen, and snatched the egg, throwing it into a basket. The egg sniffled, the human hurt them by throwing them into the basket. There lay many other eggs. Soon after, the basket swayed back and forth as the human carried the eggs out of the hen place, and inside its home. The human dropped the basket on a bench. Three fat fingers came down into the basket, plucking three eggs out. Fortunately, this egg was not one of them. After one or two hours, the human snatched the basket back up, and gently and neatly placed the eggs in a cardboard carton thing-y. This strange hand then shut the carton, and, well, egg just went to sleep, soon to be woken by a bumpy travel in a car. It was dark, and smelt like eggs and cardboard. The car noisily screeched to a halt, and the carton- well, many cartons in a crate, was lifted out of the back of the car. Egg didn't know where they were now. After a lot of bumping, rustling and shuffling, the carton slowly opened to reveal a worker- well, a workers eye looking inside the carton. Then it shut. Then it all went dark and silent. Days, and days passed in the cold fridge. To say the least, it was dark, cold, confusing and BORING as. As egg was taking yet another longggg nap, the carton shifted and was lifted! All egg could hear outside was high pitched chattering of the humans, squeaky basket handle, and the beeps of the cash register. It began to feel warm inside the carton as the human held the carton, and placed it in their car. Was egg going to enjoy their life happily? No. Soon the carton was taken inside a different house, and placed on a counter. The human opened the carton, and brightness touched Egg for the first time in a while. The human hand snatched the egg out, and hit them hard across the counter. Ow... Egg watched in horror as he fell into a pan, slowly heating up and hardening. After about 10 minutes, the human used a spatula to scoop Egg up off the pan and onto a plate, where they were eaten. The End.
