I guess that I am bound to embarrass myself in front of the lady and his son today. His face is cover with mask and on top of that he is wearing the helmet, I can’t tell if he is shock by Jay’s yell or scared.

“I am sorry about that. Let me take those bags. It must be quite heavy for you.” I said hoping he take’s hint of goodbye.

“Yes of course.” He hands me bags and take off his helmet.

“if you don’t mind, can I get a glass of water? Please.” He said with his non-weird voice, which sounds like I heard somewhere else before but I am relief that his voice is not fakish weird like before.

“Sure. Come inside.” I went inside and he followed me. He still has his mask on. I placed bags on table and pour water in glass. While he looks around more like scan the house.

“You have great house.” He said removing his mask.

“Thanks.” I said handing him the glass and great heavens what is this coincidence. He is Micah guy. Wow!

“Hi Bryce! I was shocked too.” He said gulping water in one breathe.

“Umm. Hi to you too. Want more water? Or something else.” He denies the offer handing me the empty glass.

“I will take your leave then. It was good to see you today.” He said rolling his shirt sleeve, taking his helmet.

“Wait.” I don’t know why I told him to wait but I feel like I should have a proper conversation not just awkward want to say, not to say words.

“It’s almost dinner time. If you’ve time, let’s eat together.”

“Okay.”

“Oof! My great stomach handled well.” Jay said coming downstairs. Looking at me and Aron, again looking at Aron and me.

“Hello.” He said trying to understand how we both are here, hoping one of us could explain.

“I went shopping today and I happened to meet him coincidently. He dropped me home and I insist him to stay for dinner.”

“Oh nice. Welcome to our home Aron. I am Jay.” They both shook hands.

“Nice to meet you Jay.”

“I think we have same class, right?”

“Yes.”

“I don’t see you often there. Any issues? Don’t mind me but Mr. Keller seemed worried about you.”

“There’s nothing much. I just wanted to drop out.” He said with guilt in his voice that left me in shock. Where is this conversation is going?

“I am sorry about my friend. Why don’t you sit and enjoy the game on television? I will prepare dinner in meantime.”

“Sure.” Jay said putting arm on Aron shoulder leading him way.

“I don’t watch any sports. Let me help you with dinner. I cook well.” Aron walks to kitchen leaving Jay’s arm around in air.

“Thanks.” I said and followed him. Jay stood there deciding where to go or what to do.

“So, what do like to eat, Bryce?”

“My name is Rashi and I am supposed to ask you that. You’re the guest.”

“Hey, I feel like home already. Come on now, what do you want to eat? I can make anything you just name it.” He said with confidence.

“Schezwan noodles. It’s her all time favorite.” Jay said finally deciding to join us.

“Okay! Schezwan noodles it is.” Jay said wrapping apron around and looking around for utensils.

“Can I check the cabinets and fridge?” He asked.

“Of course.” I said guiding him to the bowls and sauce cabinets.

“You’re well organized, Rashi.”

“Thanks.” I said. This is his first time saying my name, kind of felt weird that makes me want to hear again.

He boiled the noodles and meanwhile he chopped carrots, green onions, garlic, and coriander into tiniest form. Then made tomato paste and checked noodles. Put them into strainer, wash in normal water. He fried all chopped vegetables, poured tomato sauce and soya sauce. Stir it well and put red powder, salt, and pinch of turmeric. Add the noodles and mix well.

“Done.” He said smiling. While me and Jay were drooling looking at it.

“It looks delicious.” We both said smiling like a kid.

Jay set up the table and served. I just sat down as I am the guest here. Noodles are my favorite food and I just can’t wait to eat them all.

“This isn’t exactly schezwan noodles, I hope you like it.” Aron said looking at me as I slurp.

“Oh! It’s delicious. I can eat this every day.” I said while spinning fork and slurp out loud.

He smiled.

“I am here too.”

“Hi Jay.” I giggled.

I picked up dishes and placed them at sink. Aron insists on cleaning but me and Jay both refused.

“Let’s have some cookies and talk more.” I suggested and they both agreed.

I am glad that I hid Jay’s cookies, they are helpful right now. I put them in a plate and join them to couch. I placed them near to Aron’s side.

“I couldn’t believe I met you today.” Aron said.

“I know. I was bit shock. By the way, what was with the weird voice. I was scared for a moment.”

“I am sorry about that. I wasn’t sure I wanted to reveal myself to you but I just couldn’t go with it. That was terrible idea.”

“It was.”

“Why did you went shopping all sudden?” Jay said taking cookie, inspecting it rolling over.

“I just need few items to décor.”

“I called several times, you didn’t pick.”

“I left my ---” Oh my god my phone. I forgot. I suddenly jumped and rushed to my room, phone was still plugged in. I plugged out and checked, it was not charge. The switch was off. THE SWITCH WAS OFF.

“You okay Rashi?” Jay said out loud.

“I am fine.”

I put my phone on charging and ON THE SWTICH. I was worried for nothing before and how dumb of me that I forgot about it as I saw Aron.

I went back outside and explained them the situation. Jay laughed and Aron tried not show his laughing teeth but well he tried.
