Prologue

Dawnstar began to head back to Starclan's hunting grounds, she always found it beautiful how grass was in pink color along with the trees. Once she reached the camp, she was greeted by her Clanmate's in which she dipped her head to. She walked confidently as ever, but at that moment she spotted the grumpy previous leader of MoonClan emerge out of the leader's den, his pelt bristled like hedgehogs. Nightstar seemed furious, his eyes landed on her. The Clanmate's around them looked confused, uncomfortable and curious. "Dawnstar, how dare you!?" Nightstar snarled, he hurried towards Dawnstar, Dawnstar took a step back in surprise. "What are you talking about?" Dawnstar was completely taken aback, sure Nightstar is grumpy but he's never aggressive, not in StarClan. "You know what you did..." Nightstar growled, his tail was lashing from side to side and he looked like he could jump at Dawnstar any second, his claws remained unsheathed.

"You told Brightfeather the truth! I told you not to but you never listen!" Nightstar yowled, their Clanmate's began to get curious and gathered around in confusion. Dawnstar only twitched her ears and looked away, Brightfeather needed to know, she can't be lied to her whole life. "You're making a big fuss out of nothing, Nightstar. Let's end this conversation, it's getting nowhere." Dawnstar spoke calmly but that seemed to make Nightstar even more angry if that was possible, his tail continued to lash from side to side. "You don't even know what you did! You are a stupid mouse-brained leader!" Nightstar leaped at Dawnstar, taking her by surprise. Dawnstar wrestled Nightstar, hissing at him. Their Clanmate's gathered around, dragging Nightstar back by his scurf. "Nightstar! Calm down!" The cat spoke, Dawnstar got up on her feet, looking at MoonClan leader with her tail lashing in annoyance. Nightstar huffed, pulling away harshly before he looked at Dawnstar. "Come see for yourself, leader." Nightstar motioned with his tail for Dawnstar to follow. Dawnstar followed after Nightstar as they entered leader's den.

Nightstar walked towards the pool that was in the middle, Dawnstar followed after him and sat down, gazing into the pool. "Because of your decision, Brightfeather will face a harsh future." Nightstar touched the pool with the tip of his tail, Dawnstar leaned closer and watched the vision unfold. Her eyes widened upon the sight, but that can't be. "I don't understand..." Dawnstar said, she leaned back, shaking her head. In the vision, Brightfeather didn't look like herself, she was sad. Rather too sad, and the feather on her ear was half blue and half black, the black part seemed to be spreading very slowly. "No ones blessing has ever turned black before, what could it be?" Dawnstar asked. Nightstar sighed upon noticing the she-cat's distress. "No one knows, it's never happened before. Your truth was too much for Brightfeather to bear, and the upcoming events will be even harder. You made a huge mistake, Dawnstar." Nightstar spoke. Dawnstar stared at the pool, for what she does know is that you can't stop the vision from happening. Every vision and prophecy always comes true, you can't stop it.

"It's over now. We'll try our best to guide Brightfeather away from that future." Dawnstar said, but Nightstar didn't reply. Both of them knew that was impossible.
