Mia and Adam got to their bus and got a seat in the
back. "Sorry for asking but why do you have to see if your dad is there? I just don't want you to get in trouble" Mia said. "Oh um it is better that he is not". Adam said. Mia noded. Mia and Adam talked about school. They got to their stop and left the bus. "Ok my dad's car is not here" Adam said. "Cool let me text my dad really fast." Mia said. She got her phone and text him. "He said fine" mai said. "Cool let's go inside." Adam said. Adam opened the door and took Mia inside. "Pretty home" mai said. "Thanks would you like water umm cocola, juice,"Adam said. "Cocola please" Mia said.

Adam went and got them both a soda. "so Mia what music do you like" Adam said. "Oh umm do you know the neighborhood" Mia said. Adam face got a big smile on his face. "I love the neighborhood I have two tickets for them I didn't know who to give the second ticket do you want to go with me" Adam said. "Yess I would love that thank you". Mia said. "Do you have a boyfriend" Adam said. "No, do you have a girlfriend?" Mia said. "I did but we broke up because she was really mean and she only wanted me because of my looks' adam said. ''Oh i am sorry about that '' Mia said. ''It's ok, well tell me why you moved here,'' Adam said. 'Oh umm well me and my mom got into a car accident and she didn't make it then I had to move here with my dad and stepmom' Mia said. "I am so sorry for your lost, I lost my mom because she killed herself when I was ten'. Adam said. 'Oh my that must have been hard for you,' Mia said, putting her hand on his shoulder. "Ya my dad has a drinking problem and she couldt do it anymore and she did it.' Adam said. '' Are you ok tho' mia said. 'Ya I am fine'. Adam said. 'Same with my dad he had a drinking problem he always hit me and my mom' mia said putting up her pants leg up showing him a big bruise. ''Oh my, does it hurt' adam said. ''Oh no it doesn't but can you not tell anyone i told you this i don't want no one to know" mia said. "I promise you can trust me, '' Adam said looking at her. The two made eye contact for a minute then Mia phone rang. It was her dad. 'Get home NOW' her dad said on the phone. "Oh Adam, I have to go, I will see you tomorrow,'' Mia said. ''Ya wanna text if you can, ''Adam said. "Sure,'' Mia said. She left and Adam went to his room to avoid his dad when he gets home.

Mia got home and her mom and dad are in the kitchen. 'Where were you' mia dad said. "I was at a friends' mia said going up to her room. 'Ok how was school' her dad said. 'Were is katy mia said. 'None of your business' her dad said. 'Ok i was just asking mia said walking to her room. 'Dont fucking talk to me like that' her dad said coming towards her and slapping her face. Making all the pictures on the wall fall. She fell to the floor and her dad walked away. Mia got up and ran to her room crying but then adam texted her. He face got happy.
