PART 2
I walked into the school, my phone in my hand. Was Mel really back? I looked over my shoulder suspiciously and accidently crashed into a wall.
“Excuse me?” The wall said.
Huh? Walls didn’t talk.
“Could you move please? I need to get to class.”
I looked up and nearly fainted. A tall boy about my age was looking down at me, confused. He had deep green eyes and night black hair. He was wearing a loose grey t-shirt and dark jeans. I hadn’t seen him around before. I stared up, hypnotised. He stared down at me, uncomfortably.
“Um, yeah, sure. Sorry.” I stammered, moving out of the way.
He turned around and started to walk away. I did the same, smiling to myself. He was so…
“Hey, what’s your name?” The voice behind me asked.
I spun around and came face to face with him. I was breathless. I couldn’t speak, afraid I would say something stupid. Come on, talk! My mind urged.
“Uh… Violet.” I said, trying to sound nonchalant.
“Cool. I’m Nick.” He smiled, sticking his hand out.
I took it and shook gently. He laughed, brushing his hair out of his eyes.
“See you around.” Nick called, going to his classroom.
“Bye.” I muttered, blushing.
He gave me a short smile and entered his classroom. Damn. I was going to be late for class. I sprinted to the science lab, and skidded to a stop.
“Miss Stilling, you are 10 minutes late for class. What’s your reason for your tardiness?” My science teacher scolded.
“Sorry. My locker wouldn’t open.” I lied, keeping a straight face.
“Take your seat and don’t disrupt again.” She snapped.
I sat down and stared down at my notebook. Nick. He was so handsome… yet so familiar.
