Calum
I wait for Michael impatiently and sigh when my doctor walks in.
"Hello, Calum." He smiles. "You look so much better already."
I nod smiling. "I am."
"No visitors today?" He asks checking my board at the bottom of my bed.
"Michael will be back, he just went to have a shower and get changed." I smile.
"Well I think you can home too." He puts the board down and looks at me.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"Well your health is good and your good, all you need to do is use crutches to walk around because of your broken ankle." He smiles.
But then Michael will stop visiting me, and I will have to go back to work and Luke will be there and what if Michael doesn't want to hang out.
"But what if I get a fever or something?" I ask.
"I'm sure you'll be fine." He nods. "I'll see you tomorrow, I'll get one of the nurses to set you up for your leaving in 2 days." He smiles and walks out of the room.
Nononononono. Michael wont hang out with me out of here, he wont be able to hide from Evelyn. I need to do something.
...
Luke
I walk into the hospital and sigh looking around.
If I go visit Calum first and then go look for Lacey, that should be okay.
I walk towards Calums room and knock walking in. Calum's wide smile starts fading and I stop in my pace.
"Hey, Cal." I half smile.
"What brings you here, Luke?" He asks bluntly.
"I just.. I came to see how you was doing." I pull a chair up close to his bed.
"No you didnt." He says. "You've been avoiding me all week since that nurse walked into my room."
"Its a long story, Cal. I just, I'm not avoiding you." I look at him.
"Well tell me then." He looks at me. "What made you stop visiting me?" I feel so bad, I'm a mess and I've hurt Calum.
"The nurse, her name is Lacey." I sigh. "Someone who is from my past and someone who I never thought I would see again."
"So you just decided that you didnt want to see her again and thats why you stopped coming here. A message from you would have been nice." He looks away.
"I'm sorry, Calum." I sigh. "I really am just please, I didnt want to hurt you." I say.
"You didnt hurt me, Luke. I know you dont feel the same way." He sighs looking at me. "I know you never will." He smiles. "I'm okay with that."
"Really?" I sound more surprised that I wanted to.
He nods. "Lacey should be here soon." He tells me. "Maybe if wait by the window and when she leaves follow her."
I nod smiling and walk off to stand next to the window.
I wait a few minutes listening to Calum's breathing when he shifts and the door opens. I carry on looking out the window at the quite horrible weather, Calum speaks to her for a few minutes till the door opens again and I turn around looking at Calum.
''Thanks.'' I smile walking off out of the room to catch up with Lacey.
I look around for her but I cant see her, I walk down the hall way and Lacey walks out of a room walking into me.
''Shit sorry.'' I apologize and look at her. She is still as beautiful as ever.
''Its..fine.'' She says looking at me like she did the first time we met.
''Really? you're not hurt or anything?'' I smile.
''Nope.'' She smiles. ''I better get back to my patients.'' She says. For some reason its reminds me of what Ashton would say because he is a therapist and I should stop thinking because Lacey is walking away.
''Lacey wait.'' I hurry to catch up with her. ''When is your shift over?''
''thats for me to know and for you to find out.'' she smirks.
''Please?'' I try not to make it seem like I'm desperate to speak to her.
''I'm almost done, if you just wait in the waiting area. I'll be right down.'' Her smile is warm and surprised she isnt ignoring me after all thats happened.
''Thank you.'' I smile and walk off down to the waiting area.
Why am I so nervous? Why oh my god. What if she changes her mind, oh my god what if she gave our child up for adoption? oh my god oh my god, Luke calm down. I will find that child! If its the last thing I do.
I stop in my pace as I notice a few people glaring at me, then to realise I have an arm in the air. I lower it and slap myself mentally. Then I hear giggles coming from behind me.
''Superman huh?'' Lacey chuckles.
''Of course.'' I smirk. I mentally slap myself a few times and focus on what Lacey is saying.
''So what brings you here? I thought after seeing me last week, you wouldnt come back.'' She turns around to look at me. ''Avoiding me huh?'' She smirks.
''Why doesn everyone say that.'' I groan. ''I wasnt avoiding anyone, I just... I was busy.'' I sigh looking at her.
''Hmmm.'' She walks out and turns looking at me. ''So are we just going to stand here or are you going to take me out?'' She smiles sweetly.
''What happened to that shy girl I met in may?'' I ask. ''Hello, did you take my friend?''I grab hold of her chin and open her mouth pretending to look it there but I meet her gaze instead.
''Its still me.'' She smiles pulling away. ''You just took my innocence.'' She smirks looking around.
''Of course I did.'' I laugh. ''I can take you out, of course I can.'' I say looking at her and then at my bike.
''But you wont?'' She raises a brow.
''I will but I know how you feel about motor bikes.'' I tell her.
''I actually own one myself.'' She smirks.
''Oh right.'' I grin. ''I thought you thought they were dangerous.''
''They are, but its easier than driving my car around.'' She says and starts walking over to her bike.
''Well how about we go for coffee.'' I suggest.
''yeah.'' She shrugs and grabs her helmet.
''Lets be off then.'' She follows me walking towards my bike.
