[ This story is the plot of a recurring dream I have. The city in the dream is like an endless and ever-growing stacked city with dirty white clay buildings. The buildings are extremely tall and slightly overgrown. Very busy. I don't know what to do with it, but I think it would make a good story. Each dream is slightly different versions of these events. Sometimes my character dies. Sometimes my character never leaves the city. ]
I was a boy in a very poor city. There was tons of diseases and sickness, but no one stopped to rest or even get money for medicine. They just lived on with the sexual, seasonal, and infection diseases that slowly destroyed their bodies.
I had a group of friends, one girl and a few boys, I would hang out with and we would sneak out of the city everyday just to escape the infection within the city. At this point in the dream, I didn't know my name or anyone else's name. I did found out as soon as I started that I could not speak. I remembered it to be an infection in my throat that went away but took my voice with it.
On that day I had decided I wanted a bath in the clean water of the ocean, but it is guarded by the police so that the mayor may use it. I tried again and again and could never get in. Soon I started to give up, but then something hit me. If I went around the gate, there was fresher water than what there was in the city, but it just wasn't mayor blessed water. So I did and I went with my group.
We all bathed and cleaned up, put on fresh clothes, and began to travel further down the shore. Soon we found a forest full of delicious fruit trees and berries. We began to explore. All my friends were eating away, meanwhile, as I ate, I was having some major deja vu happening. I soon figured out why.
We found an old cabin surround by sweet peach and plum trees. We went up to the cabin and knocked. There was no answer. My deja vu was strong near the cabin so I said we shouldn't go, but my friends were persistent. They opened the door and walked in. I reluctantly followed.
Inside, there was beautiful decorations and china made of gold. In the living room was leather plush chairs covered in furs. In the kitchen, piles of food lined the counters. It was like nothing we've ever seen. My friends started to eat and lounge and drink. I just looked around. I was full from the forest and I was still on edge there.
Just then a loud bang interrupted the small party that had started. Two large women, one in blue and one in red, stomped up to me. My friends ran as fast as they could, leaving just me in the house with these women. I stood there, knowing I did nothing wrong. Then, the women spoke.
"Did you make all this mess?!" The blue woman said.I shook my head.
"Did you mess with our chairs and eat our food?! " The red woman said.
I shook my head. Deja Vu hitting me like a bus.
"Are you going to clean this mess?! " They spoke together.
I stopped and thought. Finally figuring out my deja Vu. I had already met these women in another dream. I remember trashing the house and eating the food and messing the chair cause of my own anger.
I finally nod.
They were shocked, but didn't stop me. I cleaned up my friends mess. After, the women smiled and looked me up and down.
They nod and say "You shall live with us. "
It was my turn to be shocked. I shake my head, but they insisted. Here comes the deja Vu again. I remembered another part of their last dream. Their rather large baby much like the one in spirited away killed me by laying on me. I shivered as heard large footsteps come down the hall. I turn to see the large baby twice my height.
Then the baby spoke in a soft slightly adorable voice. "Who is this? "
I wave to the baby as the women explain that I 'm now the baby's new brother. The baby pouts and glares at me. I look down not wanting to anger the baby like last time.
The baby walked to me and sat in front of me. The women smiled and walked to the back of the cabin.
"You can leave and never come back. They don't want you anyway. "
I nod and pats the baby's head, leaving. He seemed happy. As I went back to the beginning of the forest, I saw my friends, eyes wide. I silently laughed and ran to them. A boy who I now knew to be my boyfriend hugged me tight. I could tell he was crying. I hold him close, rubbing his back. My other friends were shocked even more. Apparently our relationship was a secret. The boy pulled away and kisses me as hard as he could. I smiled and kissed back. At that moment I found out his name. It was Caleb.
Caleb pulled away again, putting his forehead on mine. That is when, finally, I found out my name.
"Joseph you idiot! Why didn't you run? " Caleb said with a smile on his face.
I shrugged, smiling. He shook his head and pulled me close.
We quietly walked back to the infectious city that we called home, but we always knew, or well at least I did, that we were always welcome in The Ladies' Fruit Forest. Then I woke up...
[I have a lot of dreams with complex story-lines, normally when I'm stressed. Alot of them will probably make it on here. Better written though. I have ideas for them. This one is just so clear cut to me that I can't think of how to write it out.]
