Megan Brown walked into the front school doors, books held tightly to her chest as she walks through the crowded hallway, mixed perfumes and colones filling her nostrils. The mixed yells between everyone greeting each other. Megan made her way through trying her hardest not to get in anyone's way, pushing passed people, mumbling “excuse me.” She made her way to her locker only to find the 3 girls she didn't want to see.
Brooke Coleman, the most popular girl in school and the girl who is know to stab people in the back. Brooke use to be Megan's best friend in grade school but when high school started she turned her back on Megan, bullying her, making her life hell, spreading rumors tat weren't true about Megan and telling the whole school the secrets Brooke swore to keep. Yeah I know, how could a girl like Megan possibly be friends with someone like Brooke. The other two girls by Brooke's side were Sierra Evans and Paris Thorne. They weren't really much just two attention seeking whores just like Brooke. They stayed by Brooke's side following her everywhere and doing anything Brooke tells them to do.
Megan walks up to her locker, hoping they don't see her. She was like this everyday of the school year. Always on her toes to make sure they don't see her and she's not in their way. They didn't really bully her to extremes but they did bully her some. She has put up with this since the beginning of High School, being a loner geek. Megan puts her books up grabbing the ones she needs for the next class. Trying to put her pencil in her bag, not paying attention to where she was going runs right into Brooke. “I-I'm sorry” Megan stutters. Brooke squeals turning around, holding a latte in her hand.
“You got latte all over my shirt!” Megan looked at her shirt and all there was was a little stain barely noticable.
“Brooke I'm-” Megan starts.
“Forget it! Now I have to change my shirt” Brooke and the other two girls walk away, heading for the bathroom. Megan let out the breath she was holding, glad that it didn't go no further than that. Hearing the bell for the 10 minutes left or late to class bell ran, Megan walked to her homeroom.
Ben walked to his locker, getting greeted by everyone he passed in the hall way. Guess it was because they won their first football game maybe? I don't know. Being the captain and quarter back of the football team, he had a big responsibility.
“what's up man?!” His best friend and blocker on the football team, Nick Carshell. Ben and Nick have been best friends since they were little, playing on the same football team every year they played. With his brown-blond hair he was a real ladys man. He could always swoon girls just with the flip of the hair.
“Hey Carshell!” Shaking hands, they did a little bro hug.
“So how does it feel that we won our first football game Saturday?” Ben closed his locker, turning to his friend.
“feels pretty damn good” He said chuckling.
“Did you see that one hard block I got on number 33?”
“Yes”
“what about the one in the 4th quarter?”
“yes dumb ass I saw it, I was there remember”
“just checking” Nick said chuckling. They walked off to homeroom not wanting to be late again knowing coach would kick their asses if they were late to class again.
Megan sat in her seat in Grammar. It was the one in the back, where she had her own little space, no one to bother her, they were all in front of her. She had always chose the back row so she could be away from everyone else. Where they couldn't stick or throw stuff at her that would embarrass her. Her eyes drifted to the door where Ben Cole walked in. He ran his hand through his brown hair, then took a seat, a couple rows in front of Megan. She had heard that now he was know as a player. A guy who played with girls hearts, but deep down something said he wasn't. Ben and Megan have actually been in every class together since 4th grade. Now in 4th grade she had a major crush on him but slowly during the years that feeling began to fade away. During grade school it was the other way around. Ben was the one who was bullied, Megan was the one who was friends with everyone. Now it's the other way around. He's popular, she's not. Megan tells herself everyday that shes over him but if he does something, run his hand through his hair, smile, laugh it makes her realize that feeling is still there. She doesn't dare to tell anyone that though, not even her best friend, Alicia Simmons.
