Hula Dancer...
Chapter one, Hula island

The warm rays of sun shined down on a certain summer island somewhere in the new world. Some would say it was a perfect beach island, with rich sandy beaches and palm trees that reached towards the heavens.

The straw hat crew arrived only a few short hours ago and already were adapting to the peaceful island. However, most of the crew was enjoying their time roaming freely around the island. There was one captain who wasn't having the relaxation he so desired.

"Toaro come on, let's go play in the water," Luffy whined, leaning against one of the giant shady trees. Law gently swayed back and forth in a hammock, sipping from a coconut-shaped mug as he listened to the complaints from the other captain.

"This sucks, why do I need to wear this dress? It's embarrassing. I want to get back into my normal clothes." Luffy protested, sliding down the palm tree, resting one arm above his head, he placed his hand in front of his eyes to block the sun from blinding him.

"I'm surprised you forgot already, you're the one who wanted to do the bet." Law reminded him of his poor choices, thinking he could beat Law in a game of cards was just asking to become his personal servant for a day.

"Here, I have something for you to do, go get me another refill." Law shook the coconut, making the straw rattle around in the copra. Luffy sighed as he stood from his former position under the tree. He grabbed the empty coconut shell and made haste to the nearest hut. He was greeted by the old man who had the luxury of serving him.

"Hey gramps, I need another drink." Luffy insisted, sitting the coconut mug on the counter. The old man gave him a concerned look as he began refilling the coconut with sake.

"Are you sure you're going to be alright? Isn't this like your seventh drink this morning?" He asked, troubled by Luffy's repetitive behaviors. Luffy gave the man a nod and a smile as he handed him the mug, filled to the top with the fizzy liquid.

"Gramps, can I get another coconut?" Luffy asked, the man stared at him with a confused look but began preparing another coconut drink. "Here you go." He handed Luffy the second drink. "Thanks, gramps!" Luffy shouted as he ran down the beach line.

The cool breeze whooshed past the standing giant trees, causing them to shake and their leave to rattle. 'Where is he?' Law started to grow worried when a substantial amount of time passed and Luffy still hadn't returned with his drink.

The bright sky was drowned out by the grey sunglasses Law wore while he watched two seagulls fly in unison across the sky. It was as if they were swimming in the air. The wind was like the waves of the sky, continuously thrashing the birds around as their wings caught hold of the powerful sea gusts.

"Hmm." Law heard a loud grumbling sound, his head shot up from the hammock pillow. "Where the hell have you been?" Law noted his messed-up dress and messy raven hair, and he returned with not one but two coconuts in his hands.

"Sorry, Toaro hic I got sidetracked," Luffy grumbled, looking like he might collapse any second as he struggled to stand upright. "Have you been drinking?" Law questioned, taking the drink from Luffy's hands before he could spill it.

"No, it was only one coconut." As he spoke, he collapsed onto the freshly cut grass, unable to hold his body up any longer. The other empty coconut shell rolled down the hill and towards the water and made a plop as it hit the water. Law didn't give him any more attention, he returned to his relaxing position in the hammock. Luffy sat up, glaring at the hammock. Compared to the hard ground, it looked much more comfortable.

"Oi, what do you think you're doing?" Law inquired, after feeling a tug on the hammock. "Scooch over, I wanna lay down to hic." He requested and began climbing into the swaying hammock. "Get out, you're going to break the thing!" By that point, Luffy was already most of the way inside the hammock.

Luffy rested his head on Law's chest, listening to his rapidly increasing beating heart. As his chest rose and fell, his breathing remained calm, making the surrounding atmosphere peaceful. The sounds of waves smashing on the near seashore added to the appeasement. Warmth radiated off Law's skin, creating a pleasant warmth between their two bodies.

"Idiot, get off." Law shifted around before he noticed Luffy was sound asleep. He stopped his protest, glancing down at Luffy's peaceful, sleeping face. The orangish pink flower in his hair was coming loose.

"Can't even put a flower in correctly," Law whispered in a low hushed voice, he fixed the flower's petals and stuck the pin back in his hair. His hand grazed over Luffy's dark strands of hair that protruded from his head. Despite what it looked like, they were soft, his hair was the softest thing Law had ever felt.

He tangled his fingers in Luffy's raven hair, gently swirling his fingers around the individual strands of hairs. Luffy groaned in protest, he shifted around which rocked the hammock. He wrapped his arms around Law's waist, pulling their bodies closer to each other.

Law continued to pat his fluffy hair. Every time he would brush it down, it would boing back to its original position. After a while of petting, the top of Luffy's head sleep crept up on Law. His eyes lids grew heavy as sleep overtook his body.
