Betty was just staring at her ceiling unable to sleep after waking up only a couple minutes ago,
should i get up
she laid motionless
i kinda want coffee though,
So Betty got up to check her cabinets which turned out to be empty.
Well isn't that great, I got up for nothing.
So after some debating in her head Betty finally decided to go to the coffee shop near her house. With that decision came with Betty having to wear actual clothes which she didn't really want to do. Who actually wants to get dressed at 9:00 am on a sunday.
The outfit Betty chose was one of her favorites for the coffee shop, not to preppy but not sloppy. She wore flared leggings, a pink cropped cardigan, and pink platform converse with her signature heart locket.
She left a note to her parents telling them that she left to go to the coffee shop. She also decided to bring her school bag to do some work. While walking there she had a smile plastered across her face waving to everyone she saw like she always did. Sure some people looked at her weird, but Betty could care less.
When getting there she was happy to see not too many people in line. After getting in line a boy around Bettys age stood behind her in line. He started looking at Betty admiringly. Then she made eye contact with his brown eyes.his warm

Then being pulled out of each others eyes the waitress called on Betty to look at her. "Bets what do you want. You know I'm not gonna wait here all day." in her confused state Betty wondered why her friend was working so early. "Tilly what are you doing up so early? You never work in the morning." "gotta do what you gotta do Bets." Tilly said throwing her hands up defensively. "Will you tell me what you want and stop looking at pretty boy already" Betty blushed at that.
So did the boy.
"Tills you know what I want already. No need to be mean." Tilly sighed and got Betty her usual iced chai latte with oat milk. "ok Bets that'll be $4.75" Before Betty could even pull out her wallet the boy paid for her, "Oh you don't have to do that" "No it's fine. Its just 4 bucks right?" he chuckled. "No pretty boy its $4.75 now pay up" Betty looked at her friend embarrassed before the boy pulled out two quarters, two dimes, and a nickel.
who pays with the exact amount besides me
"how can I repay you for this? I feel bad." she pleaded "no no it's fine. like i said its just 4 bucks right." "$4.75" Tilly chimed in "shut it Tilly." After hearing her friend use her "mean" voice Tilly backed down and went on to the next customer.
"I feel guilty, is there anything i can do, please." "Can i have coffee with you" "Sure, yes, definitely!" she said nervously. "A name would be nice too," "oh yea its um Betty," she blushed at his comment not really knowing why. "pretty name for a pretty girl" he said confidently but also slightly awkwardly. "thanks its my grandmothers name." "i'm peter by the way," he said pulling her chair out for her.god he even pulls my chair out cutely
"its very nice to meet you peter" Betty said smiling brightly, "you too betty," he said with the cutest smile on his face.
