"My.. my lord?" The shivering Fatui soldier stuttered, trying to get the harbinger's attention in a peaceful manner.

Scaramouche, who had dozed off while at his desk, slowly opened his eyes, noticing him, "What do you want?? And how long have you been standing there like an idiot?"

The man cleared his throat in a panic, "M-My apologies, sir... you uhm, missed last night's meeting. I've just been sent to inform you that-"

"You think I don't know that already?" Scaramouche replied without letting the man finish. He had an intense tone in his voice, enough to make the soldier flinch, almost tripping on a nearby table.

In fact, the night before, Scaramouche was out with Kazuha. He had to admit, the sunset that night was quite stunning, but he didn't think it was worth it for the amount of sleep he lost.

He quickly bowed, "Right, sorry sir!" Immediately after, he opened the door and left Scaramouche in silence once again.

Scaramouche laid back in his chair and let out an exhausted sigh. He barely got any sleep the night before. His brain was far too scrambled, which was never an issue until that guy showed up.

Kazuha, whether he wanted to acknowledge it or not, was starting to mess with his head. If it was for the good or the bad, he didn't know, but he was starting to feel different. He couldn't quite place his finger on it.

So, he decided he would take the day off to rest. Surely Kazuha wouldn't come see him for a third day in a row... right?

As Scaramouche started to make his way to the inn he was staying at, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye.

Of course it was Kazuha. He couldn't catch a break, could he.

Scaramouche thought the best course of action would be to sneak around the back of the building, as to not be detected. But surly enough, Kazuha was scarily quick to notice things, so he immediately saw him.

From the distance, he could see Kazuha stop, smile, and wave, and then return to what he was doing. In all honesty, Scaramouche was quite shocked he didn't come over to greet him. Perhaps he was even disappointed. This, of course, made him stop in his tracks and do a double take. Since when was he actually wanting to be in someone's company?

As if all of his prior logic flew out of the window, he decided to tail him, see what he was up to. He just had to pray to any Archon that would listen that he wouldn't get caught. That would be humiliating, and as a harbinger, a bash on his pride.

Minutes went by, nothing special had happened. It seemed to him like Kazuha was simply playing the errand boy. For the last 10 minutes, Kazuha was delivering crates and packages to and from various places in the city. Scaramouche couldn't help but wonder what he was doing, then again, he didn't know Kazuha all that well anyway, so it wouldn't be so strange if he had no clue as to what he did for a living.

That thought placed the question in his head; who was Kazuha really?

All he knew was that he was a fellow Inazuman man who had a way with words and was quite in tune with nature. Not to mention his persistence and stubbornness. Yet he reluctantly agreed with himself that Kazuha's determination was actually very respectable, as well as praiseworthy.

Finally, Kazuha finished his task, sitting down as if exhausted.

Kazuha let out a loud sigh, "I know you're there."

Scaramouche almost choked after hearing Kazuha speak. He was not expecting him to see him, after all he thought he stayed well hidden the whole time.
