"So how did Loki and you meet?" asked Leila Sylvie. Sylvie was going through a file while Loki and Mobius tried to trace the signal back to her timeline.

She looked up at her and seemed to be considering how to answer her. "It's quite a long story, but the short version is: I was on the run from the TVA and Loki worked with Mobius to capture me."

"Wow, I didn't expect that," she said in amazement and Sylvie smiled at her. "how come you're working for them now?"

"I'm not working for them, I just want the TemPad back and then Loki and I will leave."

Leila was about to say something again but Loki interrupted her before she could. "We found your timeline." -She stood up and walked over to the two men and looked at the display. Leila took a deep breath as she stared at the data. "Time line G6099." Loki looked at the floor and she sensed something was wrong.

"What's wrong?" she asked him and he finally looked up at her.

"Loki seems to have been captured," Mobius explained to her.

She nodded and closed her eyes for a moment before nodding. "Good, I will try to speak with Frigga."

Loki seemed suddenly sad to hear about his mother, but as quickly as the emotion appeared, it was just as quickly gone. "Let's better leave right away."

Sylvie typed something on her TemPad and opened a portal. "Well, it was nice to meet you, Leila," Mobius told her and she smiled at him. "Good luck with your Loki, they can be quite a handful."

"We heard that!" the two variants exclaimed.

She turned back to him. "Thank you, Agent Mobius." He nodded and she walked to them and with them through the portal. The cold air instantly hit her skin and she opened her eyes to see that they were standing in the gardens of Asgard.

Sylvie looked around and Loki walked over to her. "Are you all right?"

"I haven't been here for so long that I didn't know what Asgard was like," she explained and Leila looked at her sympathetically. She shook her head and looked at the TemPad before folding it up. "Let's go. Do you know where Frigga might be?"

"I know where we can look for her," Leila told them and left, but stopped in front of the Queen's chambers and turned to face them. "But perhaps I should go alone first and explain everything to her before we take her by surprise with this."

"Do you really think that's a good idea-" Loki said, but was interrupted by Sylvie.

"We will wait here," she explained. Leila continued to the chambers and knocked on the door. It was not long before Frigga opened the door and looked at her with wide eyes.

"Leila! I am so glad to see you and that you are well," she said happily and pulled her into her arms.

"Thank you, Your Majesty." She broke the embrace and looked Leila up and down.

"Where have you been?" she asked.

"May I come in? I must speak with you urgently." Frigga stepped aside and let her enter. She began to tell everything that had happened to her and where she had ended up. Frigga listened to her intently and it was obvious that she was confused.

"What happened to Loki?" she finally asked her and the queen looked at the floor.

"After you suddenly disappeared, Loki fought the Einherjer but failed to stand against them. Odin charged him with treason for helping you; he has been locked in the dungeons ever since," Frigga explained.

Leila frowned at her. "But why didn't he disappear like me?"

Frigga got up and picked up something wrapped in a cloth and handed it to her. "I found it just after the fight; I don't know what it is, but maybe that's why."

She opened it and saw a destroyed TemPad inside. Leila looked up at the Queen and was about to speak when suddenly there was a crash from the hallway. Her eyes widened and she sprinted out of the room to see Loki and Sylvie fighting several Einherjers.

"Stop!" shouted Frigga and the guards immediately did as she asked. "What is going on?"

"Your Majesty, the prisoner has escaped," one of them said as if it were a matter of course.

"Get out of here," she ordered. One Einherjer wanted to protest, but stopped immediately when she looked at him and signalled the others to leave. Frigga caught sight of Loki and Sylvie and smiled. "You must be Sylvie and the other Loki."

Loki opened his mouth to speak, but could not say a word. Leila handed Sylvie the broken TemPad. "This is his TemPad; so your task is done." She smiled sadly at the pair. They both looked at each other as if they were talking silently and Loki shook his head as he looked at them.

"We said we would find your Loki and that is exactly what we will do," he explained.

"You are here for that." -She pointed to the TemPad- "Not to free him, besides how are we going to get past so many Einherjers?"

"May I interfere?" -Everyone looked to Frigga- "I know a way to get into the dungeons unnoticed. Follow me" She led them through the corridors of the palace to a golden statue and pushed a little on it; the stone wall behind it shifted, exposing a passage down.

"Thank you Frigga," she said and hugged the queen. Frigga looked to Loki and smiled at him.

"I...um..." he stuttered nervously, visibly struggling to figure out what to do. "Thank you." Frigga smiled and shook her head before pulling him into her arms.

"No matter which Loki you are, you will always be my son and I will always be with you," she declared with a smile and a tear ran down his cheek as he said goodbye to his mother. They broke the embrace. "You should go."

Loki nodded and the three of them walked down the stairs to the dungeons. "What are you doing here?" asked a guard. Sylvie and Loki signalled to her that they would take care of it. Leila looked around, trying to find her Loki. "Leila?" someone asked and she turned to see him at the force field.

"Loki." She stepped closer to him.

"You shouldn't be here, it's too dangerous; how did you get back?" he asked, confused.

"I had help"-she smiled-"let us get you out of here."

"Us?" He frowned and saw Loki and Sylvie step up to them.

"Hi," the other Loki said. "There'll be time for questions later."

He took Sylvie's hand and they both placed their free hand on the force field; after a few seconds it gave way and broke. An alarm filled the room; Sylvie opened a portal. Her Loki pulled Leila into his arms and kissed her. "We have to go," Sylvie said as several Einherjers rushed into the dungeons and the two broke their kiss and followed them through the portal. Leila looked around in confusion, as did her Loki.

"Where are we?" he asked, holding Leila close to him.

"In the main timeline, your timeline," she explained with a smile, looking to the other Loki. "I thought this would be a suitable place to build a life." Sylvie leaned up to him and kissed him gently. The other Loki put his arm around Sylvie and looked to Leila's Loki as smiled.

"You have one more promise to fulfil, Loki," he said, nodding behind him. Her Loki followed his gaze and stopped at a figure in the distance.

"Thank you, Loki," he said, patting his shoulder in friendship. Her Loki linked his hand with hers and led her to the man. As she came closer, she could see that it was Thor. Thor turned to him and looked at him in complete amazement.

"Hello, brother-" he couldn't continue as Thor pulled him into his arms. "I promised you that the sun would shine for us again." -Loki pulled away from him and smiled at him before beckoning Leila closer- "I want you to meet my wife."

She smiled and raised her hand in greeting. "We've met before."

Thor pulled them both into his arms and at that moment the sun began to rise....
