General Information

The Secondary Genders
Alphas - Make up 20% of the population
Betas - Make up 40% of the population
Omegas - Make up 10% of the population
Lunas - Make up 10% of the population
Deltas - Make up 20% of the population

Eye Colour Based On Dynamic
Every person's right eye is a curtain colour based on the secondary gender they have. Red for alphas, orange for betas, yellow for omegas, purple for lunas, and silver for deltas. The different coloured eye is used to identify the dynamic of others, it is also used to make sure no one lies about which sub-gender they are.

Ruts
All alphas, lunas, and deltas go into a rut once every 3 months. Ruts last 1 week

Heats
All omegas, lunas and deltas go into heat once every 2 months, heats last one week.

Slick
Slick is a sticky substance that omegas, lunas, and deltas produce when they are in heat or are in a high state of lust, slick smells, and tastes sweet. Male betas produce slick as well.

Presenting
When someone presents, they will sexually expose their body.

Nesting
Omegas and lunas nest to relax, mating often takes place in an omega/luna nest. Omegas/lunas make nests with nesting materials (pillows, soft blankets, animal pelts, and rugs), they scent the materials to help them feel safer. If an omega/luna doesn't nest they become stressed.

Scent/marking glands
Everyone has scent/marking glands that can be bitten into to mark them, marking takes place during mating. The gland is located at the base of the neck (where the neck and shoulders meet), it is on the right side. The gland swells when in heat, it is a very sensitive part of the body.

Heat Houses
Heat houses are similar to hotels, there are rooms where people can stay for an extended period. The rooms are usually spilt into sections, for alpha, luna, beta, omega and delta residents. Betas don't usually go to heat houses but that doesn't mean they can't. Meals and nesting materials (For omega, luna and delta residents) will be provided by the staff and there is a multitude of activities that can be enjoyed while staying at heat houses. The purpose of heat houses is to be a second home for alphas, beta, omega, lunas and deltas to stay or find a mate.

Mandatory Residence
If an omega, luna or delta submits more than 10 years of deferred matting paperwork (A long reem of paperwork that must be submitted to the government if matting will not take place, the paperwork must clearly state why matting isn't an option) then they will be subject to a mandatory residence in a heat house for their next heat/rut. The staff will be informed and will keep an eye on the mandatory residence for the week, if the person isn't well-behaved or refuses to comply with the activities of the heat house, they could be slated with mandatory residence the next time they go into heat/rut.

Heat/Rut Suppressants
Heat/rut suppressants are a type of highly effective medication that slow down a normal heat/rut cycle, making them come 1-2 weeks after they are meant to. These medications are generally only used by people that have jobs where they are around a lot of people. Normal heat/rut suppressants are only made for alphas or omega, the normal medication isn't strong enough to be used by lunas or deltas, and a stronger medication is made specifically for lunas and deltas.

Scent blockers
Scents blockers can either be a gel that is applied to the scent gland directly or a tablet. Both do the same thing, they block one's scent from being smelt. Scent blockers are widely used by everyone, they are used to stop unwanted attention.

Soulmates
A soulmate is a person that fate picks for their partner, soulmates can go years without meeting before fate bring them together. When soulmates meet they will feel physically attracted to each other and have a high chance of falling in love. You can have multiple soulmates.

Soul Bonding
Soul Bonding is a way to claim someone without biting their scent gland, it is done with soul crystals and is usually done at a young age. The soul crystal can be made into a necklace or bracelet and can be 'disguised' as different pieces of jewellery. Soul crystals are pure white and will pulse when close to the other person, two people that have matching soul crystals are referred to as bondmates

Mate bonds
A mate bond is formed when someone's scent gland is bitten into, usually during mating. The mate bond connects the two people until death. If only one mate dies, the mate bond will fade as will the bite mark, a new mate bond can be made when the scent gland is bitten again.
