It was a warm Monday evening, warmer than usual. It was sticky and muggy, sweating weather.

Olivia had a pen between her fingers, and was twiddling it absently.

"Would you like to go somewhere?" She said suddenly. Her eyes were focused on the empty space in front of her. "For dinner?"

I was sitting and watching a football game. I sat up out of my reclining position. "Okay." I said. I noticed my voice; it seemed dull, almost. Lifeless.

Maybe because that baby is part of you.

I dug my nails into my palms, leaving marks.

Are you going to let her kill a part of you?

My body let out a strangled scream, and I hugged myself tight. Olivia rushed over, her eyes wide, her mouth moving; but I couldn't hear her. The blood was rushing through my ears and I was senseless; I couldn't feel anything except

the pain

the cracking beneath my skin

the bruising to my thoughts

the burning of my happiness

"Tim?"

the pain

_

i was pretty happy with this tbh, hope you are too! (actually crying in pain would be nicer but oh well we can't have everything) (and thats a tad selfish) comment your thoughts but!
