Marinette in Danger

Adrien POV:

I watched Marinette as she walked over to the punch table and downed a glass of punch. Man, she must've been parched. But then I saw that she got really wobbly. She stumbled as she tried to take a step. Someone offered their help and she took it. Even with that person's support, she was still stumbling while she walked. I called out and ran after her. But then the person supporting Marinette threw something and it exploded. I couldn't see anything. It was a smoke bomb. Just perfect. Marinette was in danger. I just knew it. But as soon as the smoke cleared no one was there. Great. Marinette's gone. I asked around to see if anyone had seen anything but they all said they couldn't have seen anything because of the smoke. This is just fantastic. The girl I love is missing.

"Hey, Alya, Nino, I think I'm gonna go outside and look for Marinette. I want to make sure she's okay."

"Let us come with you dude." Nino said.

"Thanks, but I think I should go alone. I'll call you if I figure anything out okay? You two just keep enjoying the dance." I had to go. I had to transform into Cat Noir so I could see better.

"Okay. If you say so. But promise you'll keep in touch. I can't lose my BFF." Alya pleaded with me.

"I promise Alya. I'll call as soon as I know anything." I ran out of the cafeteria and into the bathroom.

"Plagg, someone took Marinette. I think Marinette is some real danger."

"Well, you know the words. But first, Camembert."

I reluctantly gave him camembert and he swallowed it whole I swear he's like a floating stomach.

"Okay. Time to transform. Plagg, claws out!" I quickly turned into Cat Noir and I leaped out of the building. As I was looking for Marinette, I saw the voice-controlled car that Kagami's mom owned. I wonder if the Tsurugi's have seen Marinette. I ran closer to the car. Then I saw four people inside the car. I saw Kagami and Lila on one side followed by... MARINETTE?! What was she doing inside of that car? And, was she sleeping? Oh no. This can't be good. My cat ears picked up the sound of their voices as I continued to follow them.

"It was almost too easy." It was Chloe. She was in the car too.

"I know. Luckily your people really came through with these disguises and voice changers. Otherwise, this plan could've really gone south." A second voice said. This time it was Lila.

"Why did I have to be the getaway driver again?" Kagami.

"Because you're the only one who had a car that drives on its own."

I can't believe what I'm hearing.

"That drug I put in Marinette's drink really worked like a charm." So Lila had drugged Marinette? Of course. That explained why Marinette was so unstable on her legs after drinking that punch. That must've been something really potent.

I had heard enough. I kept running after the car. Making sure not to let any of the girls see me. I had to figure out where they were going. Then they pulled up beside the river. What were they doing here? I kept watching and saw as Kagami and Lila pulled Marinette out of the car. I heard them say goodbye to Marinette. I also heard them say that they hoped that she would drown. Oh no. They were planning on dumping her into the Seine. I had to get to her first. I quickly jumped out of sight and detransformed. I grabbed one of the magic pieces of camembert.

"Plagg, power up!"

Plagg ate the camembert. "AquaPlagg."

"AquaPlagg, claws out!" I quickly transformed into my underwater suit and waited for them to drop her and pull away in the car so I wouldn't be seen. Luckily I didn't have to wait long and they dumped her into the river. As soon as they had done that they got back into the car and left.
