Henry Emily twisted his wrench, tightening the nut on the Animatronic. He stepped back and nodded to his wife, whom turned the Golden Bear back on. His head raised up, and began to move it lightly around. The eyes shifting as it began to dance and mimic singing to the music that was playing. A golden bunny beside it dancing and singing also.
Henry stood and smiled at his work, he wife holding their daughter and pointing up at the robot. The man hoped down and strode to the door proudly, turning the sign to open. The place wasnt huge but it was theirs. Hed been tinkering fixing and expanding for months. Today he wanted to tighten up the animatronics and add his newest creation. A present box right by the door, inside a puppet. He turned it on and its head peaked out, watching the room. He motioned to his wife who put their daughter down. The 5 year old knowing what to do, and running straight for the door. With a grace and delicacy the security puppet popped from the box and hung between Charlie and the door. "Charlie, outside is not a safe play area, please wait for your parents." The puppet said, its long arm reaching out and its long finger poking the girls nose before softly turning her around and letting her run back to her mom.
"Works like a dream, the rest of the kids will get a generic message about needing a parent to exit." Henry said to his wife as the puppet wisked itself back into the box. The thing was on a track on the ceiling, attached by strings and able to only move to the door and back to its box. Henry decided this would be more affective then giving the puppet legs, but the puppet still had arms, a chest, and an animatronic head.
Charlie quickly fell for the puppet, when no other kids where there they'd play together, every night after close they played as her father and mother closed up the shop. It was perfect since the puppets primary charge was to protect charlie. The girl would dance around the place with her puppet, at least for the first few weeks of its operation. The restaurant was open for only 6 month by this time and had already become decently popular, but never could Henry forsee the explosion in popularity that would come. After a year, fredbears family diner was the life blood of the area. Day by day henery worked hard at fixing up the machines and making it a fun place. The town around them grew and became a bit of a summer spot as schools let out.
"Henry what i can do for fredbears is so much more then you ever could have dreamed." Came the slightly english accent of the man, he was new to town for sure. Charlie had been running around with a new toy as she overheard the man speak to her dad. He had bought a huge area of land in town with plans to build something but it didnt seem he was sure what to put there, or at least thats what her dad said to his mom when he first moved in. "This is just what i need, an animatronic pizzaria, some arcade games, some play places." The man droned off as he seemed to take note and measure the things around him.
"Look Mr. Afton i understand that you wanna open your new buisness here but-" henry said only to be cut off by the suited man.
"Listen i can make us both billionaires!" The man said excitedly as he stood up.Mean time over by the robots, little Charlie sat playing with a few toys, as a young boy walked up. "H-hi Im Michael." The little boy said as he sat next to charlie.
The girl gave a smile and handed one of her toys to the black haired boy. " hi Michael, im Charlie.. this is my daddies diner." She giggled.
The two began to play with each other michaels eyes drifting to the big robots in-front of him. "That's fredbear!" charlie said excitedly, and jumped up.
"Fredbear is awesome.hes big hes golden and he loves hug.. or at least thats what i say!" Charlie said clicking her feet as she smiled dreamingly up at fredbear."Wow, hes so cool and so big." Michael said as he stood up and took a spot next to charlie. They both looked up their young minds going wild with images of the bear dancing and singing.
"Well then it seems this is pointless" yelled the Afton man, "if you change your mind call me" he said handing Henry a card. "Michael come on" he shouted as he marched away. The two kids snapping back shocked, charlie waved to her friend as he scaridly ran off to follow his dad.
But that wasnt the last time they would see each other.
William through a binder across the room, his rage on full display. "This was supposed to be it, this man... why doesnt he just take the money and give me what i want." William screamed.
"Hes a proud man, and all he has is for his daughter... you should learn from him, William. You never do anything with that boy, i don't know why you brought him with you and not the other two." Said the older man in the chair.
"Because dad, i cant afford to bring the rest of the family.. and Sarah said she wanted me to spend time with Michael." He said. "Useless kid"
Michael heard this all from his room and hated it, he shimmied his window open, knowing exactly where he wanted to go. Michael leaped out and ran through the wooded area, following the road that lead right to the edge of town. He walked right up to the diner. Fredbears family diner, opens 9am closes 10pm. He had a good 2 hours to have fun here.
This would be a nightly thing for the next year, William would abuse his son, and his son would go to hide with fredbear and Charlie. Michael didn't much like the bunny names Bonnie.
Every few nights William would drive over and drag his son away, but only when knowing he was even gone. Every night the two kids would have a blast and have as much fun as they could. Michael hadn't even noticed that he had developed his first crush by age 8, on the girl a half year younger. It was actually his 8th birthday when all of it ended. It was a rainy stormy night and his father had been gone a few days, he had gone home to grab some stuff. Construction had begun on what would be the pizzeria, though William had still not been able to get the animatronics for it. That night Michael broke his now screwed closed window and ran to the diner. He entered to Henry looking down at him and scoffing. Henry fully knew what was happening, what William did to his son. He wrapped a towel around him and brought him in. The kids all playing together the storm outside forgotten.
But mean time William got home go find a broken window "he went to that place again, he'll l regret this." He shouted as he went back to his car.Little Charlie was always hated by the other kids, because she was the daughter of the owner she always got special treatment. This night was a bad one, the boys all teased her the girls called her ugly. But then Michael got there, he stood between her and all the bullies. No one would try when Michael was there, he was her protector. They played for a good hour till her dad came over, "Michael may i talk to you a minute." The two went to the back together leaving Charlie out in the diner alone. She looked over at her fathers security puppet, "thats weird" she said seeing the boxes on top of it that would be to heavy for the puppet to be able to come out.
She took a step over before realizing the other kids had surrounded her. One hit her in the gut knocking the wind out of her as two others grabbed her arms and dragged her to the door. Dazedly she saw the puppet struggling in its box trying to escape. The boys threw her out the door into the rain and locked it laughing at her as she got back up banging on it then the window. She banged against the window as light cast from behind her, it was a car that was pulling up, it turned down the ally next to the diner and parked. Charlie quickly ran over to the ally and ran down it hoping to ask for help back in as it was cold and she was wet. She watched the man step out, his angry face, his clenched fist.
"He refuses to sell this shitty place, refuses to give me his shitty animatronics, and now how takes my son..." yelled the man as he stalked up to Charlie. She was now scared and backed up into the wall, looking up at the man.
"Now ill steal his daughter!" The man growled, Charlie saw a flash as light reflected off of something metal that the man pulled out. He swiped his arm at Charlie, she went to scream but nothing came out. A second later she felt a pain in her neck, holding it she felt liquid pouring through her hand, more then just rain. Her vision doubled and spun, she watched the man get in his car and drive away as she fell to the rough ground.
The puppet broke out of its box and strung its way to the door, it swung it open, pulling itself through. It snapped its wires and fell to the floor, it crawled through the rain using its arms to drag itself. The rain pattered on it slowly breaking it down. It collapsed barely dragging itself around the corner, right to the trash cans. The puppet pulled itself to its charge, wrapping its arms around Charlie and holding her tight as the rain fried it out. It had failed its job, its family, its creator.
