[Hawk's POV/VO - Thoughts]

I lie down, no family, no-one in my sight. Well it'd be best to invite my friends over to do some mischevious planning, but eh. Still thinking about kicking Robby's ass though.

Hm, but Miguel were here he'd ask me "Hawk, we have training today." But I'm kind of exhausted from yesterday, the party. I know I've been on a rampage but I haven't been feeling it lately.

I partied so hard last night. But then Demetri over there, that bitch, Demetri... Oh, he was being an absolute dumbass, and called me out. I want vengeance. REVENGE! You HEAR ME?

Tsk, even if I had to break his friends apart first. Or have it the hard way. This is my only opportunity. I so am sick and tired of having to see that stupid face every damn day that I have to live. Everywhere I go.

Well eh, it's kind of hot out but the pool was too cold even to dip myself in. Yesterday was cold enough.

I still don't know why my foolish frenemy didn't join Cobra Kai.

Miyagi-Do is for pussies. It's yoga for little kids and for weaklings like him.

And I've sat here for a brief fifteen minutes thinking about my life. Feeling the moment as usual.

Until moments later a door clicked and closed near me, the same spot I used to sit near the pool at my mom's house.

... The next thing I know is that footsteps approach to me I assume. This cannot turn out good.

[Demetri's POV - Encounter]

With a vivid click, Demetri quietly tries to close the door. Success? No creak was heard.

Now he'd just have to walk over casually. Anxiety was killing him, still remembering the night of the party. It was like a climax to a story though he was living it.

Why would he be scared of his childhood friend? That's the part that confused Demetri. He's still aware of the fact he may be screwing up things for the best, he could yet... Get beat up for it.

He then walks over to Hawk, sitting alone outside the porch of the house, by a pool.

It was like seeing a stranger, but not knowing what could happen next. Micro or macro assault? The more steps Demetri took, the more he could sense the danger around him. Like a gut feeling of a car crash happening but still drive anyways.

Hawk appears to be sat there on the chair. Left leg crossed, leaned back, appearing in black trunks.

He seemed chill at first, until things started to take a long turn.

[EXT. - Porch - Mrs. Moskowitz's Residence - Afternoon]

Demetri greets in with a hello, just to let him know of his presence. To not be alarmed... for sure.

"Hey! Eli!"

Not this dumb idiot again. Aggressively, the red-haired boy gazed at him with a sense of hatred.

Hawk: "My name is Hawk."

It didn't work at as well as Demetri thought it'd be. The nerdy boy would say his name as if he were mocking him.

"Hawk... Right."

This insanity is killing him. This new persona of his "friend".

"Has anyone told you about privacy?"

"Yeah, sorry..." As he looks down and puts his right hand on his upper left arm. He continues from his trail of thought. "You wouldn't hang out with me? But why-"

Hawk lowly seethes.

"What do you want, gonna stand there and whine your ass off?"

"That was mean."

"What, cat got your tongue? Psh, grow up. You've been acting desperate and it's getting annoying."

"...I just wanted to see if you wanted to. Clearly you don't."

Hawk grinned with the corners of his mouth.

"Hang out? As if that'll ever happen-"

In defined words, Hawk would slowly say, with his eyebrows telling him to screw off.

"END. OF. DISCUSSION."

Seconds then... There was silence after that. Just the awkward, dumb nothing Demetri always hates.

As always, he tries to fill in that gap of silence.

Demetri stuttered. "Well uh... The view's nice, right? You get to see the trees, clouds, etcetera..."

The sudden change of subject still made Hawk's attitude and tone the same. It's just embedded in him.

Hawk starts to look up at the sky. He avoided eye contact with Demetri ever since that moment at the party. He still does now.

"Yeah, when you weren't here."

Demetri knows Hawk is getting bored of him, but he tries his best to keep him here. Tempting, but he will do whatever he takes.

"Hey, I know you're mad at me, Hawk."

Hawk rolls his eyes after his complaint.

Demetri notices, but can't help to nitpick his own friend's ways.

"You can't just stay mad at me forever."

Hawk got up from his seat, retying his strings from his trunks. Then grins, and walks away.

While Demetri continues whilst staring at him, walking away. A few tiny steps around, synced with his stare.

"...Or maybe."
