Never Be the Same - Camila Cabello
"Now, I'm seeing red, not thinking straight, blurring all the lines, you intoxicate me
Just like nicotine, heroin, morphine, suddenly I'm a fiend and you're all I need"

Rosa and Kai walked outside the restaurant after Rosa let Alé know Kai was going to drive her home since their apartment was a couple blocks down from the bar.

"Do you always have to let your brother know everything? You're not a child," Kai questioned Rosa. He noticed how independent Rosa is but also how dependent she can be on her twin so it was confusing him a bit.

Rosa smiled to herself placing her hands in her coat pockets as they walked towards Kai's car. She looked up at the night sky noticing it was a full moon tonight and grew a wary look. Kai watched her stare as he followed it and looked up towards the moon as well. "You have a fascination with full moons? Or not a fan by the look on your face?"

Rosa quickly tore her gaze from the moon back to Kai and returned the smile on her face. "Yes, he's my twin brother. It's always been us two," Rosa said ignoring the second question Kai asked her.

Kai nodded taking note that she didn't answer his question about the moon. He walked along side of her and looked at Rosa curiously, "tell me more about you and your brother."

Rosa paused from walking thinking of her answer. Kai stopped in front of her looking down at her. "Um, not much to tell, raised in sunny California. Alé got a lacrosse scholarship here so we both decided to move here together. We grew up together, really close since birth and that's about it."

Kai nodded. He stared at her intensely, "you're hiding something."

"What makes you think that?"

"Call it," he paused dramatically, "intuition."

Rosa scoffed. She hasn't told anyone about her and Alejandro's life in California and she certainly wasn't going to tell Kai. "Believe what you want," Rosa said.

They began walking again in silence as they got to Kai's car. Kai reached into his jeans pocket to pull out his key. He unlocks the car and leans over Rosa to open her car door. He leans against it and motions with his hand for her to get in, "Ro."

Rosa smiled at him and got inside the car. Kai shut the door and walked around towards the driver side. As he's getting inside he asked, "did you walk here?"

Kai looks over at Rosa who is putting on her seat belt. She lowers the visor mirror to make sure her red lipstick hadn't smeared from drinking her beer. Kai kept watching her every movement fascinated with her vibrant red lips.

"Yes, I don't have a car at the moment. I use to have one and Alé was at practice so I couldn't borrow his."

"I could have picked you up," Kai said as he started up the vehicle. Rosa puts the visor mirror back up and looked over him curiously. Her eyes then wondered down to his hands on the steering wheel. She admired the silver rings he wore and then noticed the veins on his hands clearly visible. Kai looked over at her, "hello, Ro?"
