I was born in an apple field on August 13th. I didn't know my mother or father for that matter. She left me as soon as I was out of her. I don't remember much but Beth, the women who found me, said I was covered in blood and screaming. She was picking apples when she found me. She called the police as soon as she had me, she wrapped me up and waited. The police couldn't track down my birth mother. In the small town of Lemon, there wasn't much the little police force could do. So Beth adopted me into her family. Her husband James didn't want another mouth to feed, but he soon fell in love with me, as did her two sons, Thomas and Eric. Thomas was 9 and Eric was 5 when I joined their family. Beth said it was meant to be because I look just like her mother Anne. With Auburn hair and brown eyes, she would say I was a dead ringer. I guess that's why she named me Ella Anne, Ella Anne Jones.
It has been 23 years since that fateful day. Dad passed away from a heart attack when I was 15. And mom hasn't been the same since. Thomas went to collage and opened a small insurance agency in Lemon, he married his high school sweetheart Emily Rogers. Eric didn't go to collage, he decided to work his way up at the local grocery store, he is now the manager. His husband Kevin moved in to a house on moms property, they are planning on having a baby soon. I work at the wedding shop in town. In my free time I help mom with the farm. Our Neighbor Leo comes over to help with all the little things mom can't handle. He won't admit it but he's in love with her. Just don't tell his wife.
