Third person POV: Sapnap's POV

WORD COUNT: 2360

Just like the other time, I want to make it clear here that the description of murder will arise, yet I won't add a warning beforehand apart from this one so I don't disturb the flow of the story. So, again, approach with caution if this stuff concerns you but otherwise I'm sure it'll be fine

Seeing the fire and getting yet another dose of how unstable his emotions made him, Sapnap had made the split decision to leave. It was for the best. Karl would be fine now. He was the danger, and once removed from the equation, Karl would be safe. He could not lose Karl. This was for the best, and he genuinely prayed to anyone who would hear him that the message he sent his fiancé would bring a sense of comfort and not anxiety. Sapnap could handle himself, but Karl...? He didn't want to think about it.

By the time he was on the other side of Kinoko, his comms buzzed. Speak of the angels and they will reply.

"Karl..." Sapnap mumbled miserably, thinking his fiancé was begging him to return or telling him to 'wait up' since he was trying to run after him. What he received instead made his breath hitch in his throat.

Karl_Jacobs whispers to you: Sapnap! Help! Dreams coming inside the library! Get here before it's too late!

"Karl!" Sapnap stood there - clutching the device to the point it would break - his legs, arms and chest a jittery mess. He groaned at the thought of making the wrong move. Karl was in danger: that was indisputable. Yet, what if this was what Dream wanted? For his fiancé to tip him off? Bring him over to watch yet another of his lovers die in his arms?

The sick bastard.

It was too much. He didn't care. If Karl was to die over an hour apart from Quackity, then Sapnap would simply soothe him and join him and Q, right after. That's something Dream could not take away from him. Because by then he would have served him the death penalty himself.

"I'm coming, love," his voice quivered, as he ran back the way he had just come.

----------

The dark was something he had always liked, until that night. Struggling to see his way to Las Nevadas. Struggling to see Quackity until it was too late. Struggling along in the dark towards Kinoko Kingdom. And now, struggling in the poorly lit streets of Kinoko to get to Karl.

As Sapnap rounded the corner by the Yin and Yang pool, he brought himself to a stop and squinted. A tall figure stood in front of the library, with glowing, purple armor on, from the neck down. And it held something small and heavy-looking in its arms.

"Sapnap!" they called, cheerily. "You came back! Karl and I were wondering when you would get here."

"Dream! What did you do to Karl!" Sapnap bellowed, as he closed the distance between them.

"Ah-ah-ah, don't get too close. I'll kill him otherwise. Then where would the fun be in that?"

"Why the hell does everything have to be a game to you?" Sapnap seethed, quietly drawing his axe regardless. The sight of Karl's bound body made his blood boil.

"Because that's what makes everything so fun!" Dream wheezed. "Now, I feel the need to ask you: how's Quackity doing this fine evening?"

"You already know! How dare you. You evil, sick, twisted-"

Even before Sapnap had begun his string of curses, Dream became preoccupied reciting something under his breath.

"What are you- No, dude, stop. What are you doing? Stop it!"
