Matteo's pov:

«Sorry to tell you this Sir, but Mrs. Lilith is in a coma» , was all I heard before I felt my heart skip to my stomach.

'What?..' , I asked myself.

«That can't be!» , my voice beemed out like never before.

«Sir- I- I'm sor-»
«GET OUT! GET THE FUCK OUT!»

My doctor got out frightened, while I stared at Lilith.

Such a beautiful heart. Such a beautiful face.

𝑆ℎ𝑒 was beautiful. Very beautiful.

How did she get caught up in a thing like this?

Mafia's aren't anything for women.

Especially not for pure women like her.

«Is everything ok? I heard yelli-»
«Dante not now. Leave me alone.» , I answered my worried bestfriend who just came into the room.

«But- I'm not sure if I'm blinde or something, but you're definitely not alone.» , Dante teased, grinning.

Not answering him, I kept silent, still staring at Lilith.

«Bro- what the hell is wrong with yo- are you crying?» , Dante froze, after turning me by my shoulder to see my face.

Suddenly I felt a tear run down my cheek. And another one. And another.

And soon I was crying like a baby.

«Are you ok Matteo?» his worried face expression gazed at me.

I don't know why I am crying.

I hate her.

Right?

I'm supposed to hate her.

We're enemies.

This isn't supposed to be happening.

God I have no idea.

I don't even know her for a day, but it still hurt me that she's in a coma.

Maybe what hurt is, is the fact that she's in a coma because of me.

After all, the Russians are my enemies.

Not hers.

«You're worrying me. Who is this girl?» Dante asked, changing his gaze to Lilith.

«Dante just get out, I'll be fine.» , I answer him, really wanting to be alone.

«But-»
«Now.»

«Fine.» , he sighed getting out of the room and closing the door after peeking through the little crack one last time.

What is wrong with me.

I don't get it.

What is she doing to me?

She's a stranger, yet it feels like someone I've known for YEARS and YEARS is laying in a coma, in front of me.

Getting out of my head and looking at her again, I noticed her face expressions changed.

She looked like she was in pain.

Even more than when she got shot.

I wanted to know what's wrong, but I couldn't just ask her.

That's it, I'm getting out of this.

Walking out of the room, I closed the door slowly and gently, acting as if she was just sleeping.
