I was startled when Twilight ran into the boutique and into a changing room. I looked at it worriedly before moving aside the curtain. Twilight was sitting against the wall, staring at the floor.
"Everything okay in there?" Rarity called as I closed the curtain.
"Yes!" Twilight replied. "Only it's not okay, it's not okay at all. If I don't get my crown tonight, if I don't get my crown tonight, I won't be able to go back to Equestria for another thirty moons."
"Let me get this story straight. Sunset went into our world, stole your crown, brought it back here so she could win it and use its power to take over the world, and you're competing to get it back?" I questioned.
"Exactly," Spike said solemnly. "We need to tell them the truth. Tell them who both of you are, and what's really at stake if you don't get the crown tonight. They'll help us figure something out."
"Yeah, Twilight. I mean, those five are basically replicas of the ones in our world, except without horns and wings. We can tell them," I agreed.
"But what if they won't? What if they find out how different we really are?" Twilight questioned.
"Twilight, these girls rallied around you 'cause they saw what was in your heart. Same with Ruby. They aren't going to feel any different about you when they find out you're a pony princess in Equestria," Spike explained.
Twilight smiled. "I'm glad you followed me here, Spike."
"Me too. Unless, of course, we get stuck here for another thirty moons." Spike frowned.
"That won't happen. Not if I can help it," I said determinedly.
Twilight and I stood up, and she pulled back the curtain. We faced our friends.
"Are you two okay?" Applejack asked.
"The Fall Formal isn't happening tonight," Twilight announced.
"What?!" Pinkie screeched.
"It had to be postponed because Sunset Shimmer had Snips and Snails ruin all of Pinkie Pie's decorations," Twilight explained.
"What?!" Pinkie repeated.
"But the Fall Formal has to happen tonight," Twilight continued.
"Wha-" Pinkie said before Applejack covered her mouth.
"You see..." Twilight started.
"You're from an alternate world and you're a pony princess there and the crown actually has a magic element embedded in it that helps power up other magical elements and without it they don't work anymore and you need them to protect your magical world, and if you don't get the crown tonight, you'll be stuck in this world, and you won't be able to get back for a really really long time," Pinkie ranted.
Twilight and Spike's mouths dropped open.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason," Rainbow said, unamused.
"Nope, she's pretty much spot on." Spike sighed.
"He can talk?!" Rarity said in disbelief.
"Oh yeah. And back where I come from, I'm not even a dog. I'm a ferocious, fire-breathing dragon!" Spike exclaimed.
"This is so amazing! Tell me, what are you thinking about right now?" Fluttershy gushed.
"Sure would love a scratch behind the old ears." Spike sat down next to Rarity. "Uh, maybe later."
"And our friend, Ruby Rose, here, is an alicorn that accidentally got teleported here from your world and a part of your group," Pinkie added.
I blushed lightly. "Hi."
"How did you know all that?" Twilight and I questioned.
"Wait a minute! Let me get this straight! You're a pony?"
"You're a princess."
"You're from another world?"
"That... is... awesome!" Rainbow exclaimed.
The girls gathered around her, grilling her for information.
"See, told you," Spike said smugly.
"Like always, Spike." I giggled.
