RWBY & SSPF 1.5

Chapter 1

And we are back!

Now this story will be inevitably short since I want to fill in a time gap between Vol 1 and 2

So expect only about 4 maybe 5 chapters

Also I may work on that colab story with @SonicBlade40 and @Jirehl_Flynn for our main OCs.

Other than that I do hope you all enjoy.

We find ourselves at Beacon. The sun is shining high with a few clouds here and there. Students are going about their day as per usual.

But the situation could not be the same for the boys and girls of SSPF and RWBY.

Inside the dorm room of SSPF, Colt lays motionless on Jack's bed with Gopher sitting in a chair to the side, watching over the bluenette like a protective guardian. Watching his chest rise and fall at a steady pace, the bluenette's head wrapped in bandages from the impact he suffered.

The Ginger could only wait and watch, waiting for his brother to awaken from his coma.

"Five days. Five long days. That's how long it's been since the port attack." Gopher spoke out loud as he closed his eyes and remembered what had happened that night.

Flashback

"FOR THE QUEEEEN!!" He yelled out, startling everyone, with both his hands in the hair with one holding the object.

Colt immediately got right up close to him and landed an uppercut below his jaw.

The punch made the assailant stumble back as he also simultaneously dropped the object in his hand.

Sam instantly recognized what it was he dropped to the ground. "GRENAAAAAADE!!! He screamed as he tackled Blake to the right.

"TAAAAAKE COVEEERR!!!" Jack screamed too as he tackled Weiss to the left.

The crimsonette could only watch in horror as she helplessly was flying back only to be caught in Yang's arms from her left, a moment later Gopher came from the right and enveloped Yang, jumping away with the both of them.

The moment Colt managed to shove Ruby away, he turned back to the assailant, grabbing the soldier by the shirt with both hands, he lowered himself and flipped  the soldier over his back, making the bomber land on the grenade with his own back onto it.

Then the scene went black as the explosion went off.

End Flashback

"There's nothing you could have done, it all happened so quickly." A voice like an angel spoke.

The Ginger opened his eyes as the memory of that night faded away. He swiveled the chair to face the Blonde Beauty Brawler of Team RWBY, Yang Xiao Long.

Gopher sighed at her words. "I don't believe that. This could have been prevented. I could have prevented this. If I had just moved a little bit faster he wouldn't!" He couldn't finish the sentence, almost afraid to if he did.

Yang could see that he was struggling, that older brother instinct constantly eating at him from the inside, constantly blaming himself for not doing anything.

"*Sighs* In some ways..." She slowly walked next to him and placed a hand in his shoulder, making him look up at her with his forest green eyes. "I don't think he would have allowed you to get in the way."

Gopher chuckled slightly. "Yeah, he wouldn't have allowed it. *Sniff* Damn idiot always has to go out of his way and risk his life to save us." He sniffled again, almost crying.

Yang didn't know what else to say or do other than give him a comforting hand.

"You want to know the worst part?" He continued, looking up at her as he asked.

"Yeah?" She asked, wanting him to get it out.

"One day, one day it's actually going to get him killed. And it's not just me who's going to wind up feeling all the pain from it." He ranted he then looked over shoulder to the other side.

They then heard a sleepy sigh on the opposite side of the room, both turning to see Ruby fast asleep on Sam's bed. Her eyes were closed shut but the wet streaks of tears down her cheeks showed that she had been crying a lot. She even hiccupped a few times in her sleep, still upset over the situation.

"Ruby hasn't left the room since they brought him back." Gopher said.

"I know, I'm worried about her. To see Colt like this really did hit her hard." Yang replied. "She wouldn't even leave his side."

"*Chuckles* Hell we practically had to pry her grip loose from him when she fell asleep." Gopher made a slight laugh. "Almost had to break out the pliers" He continued to laugh.

This small joke put a smile in Yang too, glad to see the Ginger having bit off a laugh.

After awhile it all died down, the air becoming serious and gloomy once again.

"*Sigh* Yang?" Gopher said not looking at her as he stared at Colt's bed.

The blonde turned to face him, only seeing the side of his face. "Yeah Gopher?"

"Can- can I ask you a favour?" He spoke.

"Anything." She responded quickly.

Gopher sighed then paused. "No matter what, no matter the situation my team finds ourselves in." He then slowly shifted his gaze up to her. "I want you to be there beside me. You and your team beside ours." He said.

Yang was taken aback by the request. While she stood there in shock it quickly died down, only to be replaced by the warmth of her own heart telling to accept. "We will, I promise. But- But why?" She asked him.

Gopher then stared out the window in the endless blue skies. "Cause I got the feeling that what ever comes at us in the future.... we won't be able to handle it alone anymore, not like we used to."

The blonde didn't know what to say at that. She wanted to say he was talking nonsense but something inside her told her that Gopher was right, SSPF seemed like a team that could get into a whole of trouble, and they will not be able to face it alone anymore. "I'll stay by your side no matter what, face any danger you face and together take on anything that comes our way." Yang said with vigor of reassurance.

Gopher nodded to her. "Thank you, that's all I needed to hear." He said once again before going back into silence and watching over his brother as Yang then went over and sat beside Ruby to comfort the sleeping girl.

So far this story will mainly be focusing on the pairings and the struggles they are going through.

Don't expect me to post quickly with these as I am trying to make this pretty decent.
