Fight

She was standing over me, her sword on my throat. This will have consequences. How does she dare to threaten her queen?
A big smile spread on her lips as she finally saw a emotion on my face, and unluckily it was the most embarrassing one - fear.

She took a step away from me and let her sword slide back into her scabbard.
As I stood up, the most elegant way possible, I tried to hide my rage on her, and put my emotionless mask of a face, back on.
"If you ever-"
"What? Do, what I've been told?", she cut my words. 
Still that triumphant grin.
"You were told, to be nothing more than a training doll!"
My anger maybe wasn't recognizable on my face, but my voice betrayed me.

"How dare you point on me, laying on the ground, with a sword in your hand?"
I expected to see her face full of regret or even fear, like every other subservient would have shown in this situation, but still, there was nothing but a ounce of joy in her face, although, she knew exactly that I could, with a snap of my fingers, let her hang.
It was by far not the first time, she stepped way out of line.

I had many training subjects before, most of them were to inexperienced or to afraid to really fight against their queen.
Even though they actually weren't suppose to, I always wished for a real adversary.

Now, I had her.

She knew how to hold a sword, and was definitely not scared at all to use it, she rather even enjoyed it.
While other candidates were clearly beneath me, she was, and I hate to admit that, more like an equal partner.

"I knew you would break one day, and it was worth it, I finally saw an emotion. Clearly not the most beautiful, but it is a start."
That was it, I grabbed my sword and tried to overwhelm her, what she easily evaded.
I got even more furious, what made it easy for her to put me down again.

My sword clinked as it fell on the stone floor.
My hands to fists clenched, I stood there with shock and anger. I tried to control and hide these emotions, but it drove me mad, how she stood there grinning.

„You should really sometimes just blast out your feelings, instead of just suppressing them the hole time, it's not healthy", she said.
„If you don't immediately lower your sword, I will-", I tried to threaten her.
„The guards won't hear you, remember? You especially wanted a training hall where no one is around to disturb."
„What do you even want from me? Why, are you threatening me?"
I knew exactly what she wanted..
But it was impossible.

„Ohh", she moaned „quit the acting now, I can no longer do that."
„We had an agreement!", I replied.
„Well, I can no longer live like this!"

I starred at her.
Her eyes, were now full of pain .
She lowered her sword and hold it slack in her hand.

I broke.

I ran into her arms hugging her tight and breaking into tears. After minutes of standing like that, I looked at her, taking her face in my hands.
I could only admire her beauty.

And as wrong as it was, I had to kiss her.
I had to feel her soft lips on mine again, after all these weeks of staying away from each other.
It was like a firework in my stomach, as her lips  finally pressed on mine again. In this moment I only felt her, our problems disappeared for a second and it was like, we were the only two people on this planet. It was the greatest feeling in the world.
After minutes of enjoying each others closeness, in a corner on the cold floor, she pulled away and looked me deep in the eyes.

„Khalida?", she whispered.
It was so good, to finally hear her say my name again.
„Yes-"
„I'm begging you! If we keep on doing this, it will break me. Only seeing you like this, with a cold face, no emotions, I can't take it anymore!"
„What am I supposed to do?", I sobbed „they will kill the both of us if they find out!"
I looked at her, we had discussed that a thousand times, but it will not get better.

„But if we keep it a secret? If no one finds out?", she suggested.
I saw the hope in her face, and it ate me alive, because I knew, it was hopeless. We could not escape the walls of this kingdom. 
I will not let her die for me, the risk was too high.
