Chapter 1
When I was young, my sister and I used to build this magical castle inside our room. We'd dance, sing, and do whatever the hell we wanted to. My cousin would come along and sing with us while holding my guitar.
Every day was magical.
We'd think of ourselves as princesses although I'm more of the boyish type of princess.
But still, my heart will always race for a boy.
Years passed while our lives begun to change.
College came; we fell in love; they broke our hearts; we broke their hearts; my sister cried; my cousin's always drunk; I was always drunk; we failed exams; repeat subjects,
Still, we graduated with our heads held high. As if we can conquer the world right then.
It's year 2021.
And we're not actually having the time of our lives.
My name's Averie Reeds.
Your average working girl who needs money to support her family and brokenhearted sister.
"Ave! Change your clothes."
She won't even let a Tuesday pass by just like an ordinary day.
"Raven, would you please stop torturing your liver. That's not healthy at all."
She would probably pout and try to convince me to drink with her since her boring slash machine boyfriend just broke up with her.
"Come on Ave. William and Myles will come too! I even invited Dasia and Em.. if they would come though? Those two having relationships right now doesn't help me at all."
So quick backstory,
William Pardo, Jerry Myles Ziegler, Dasia Brown and Emmanuel Ley Jones are all my friends who turned into Raven's friends too.
They would just go to our house without my knowledge and will bring me with them to wherever the hell they want.
It's exhausting really because sometimes they will drink at my room.
"Ave! Dasia said she can't come. Something about salmon."
She peaked in my room.
"Of course, she won't. She's having a date-date with Calvin the architect."
"Are they a thing now? Or just another conquest for Dasia?" Raven asked while ironing her hair.
"I don't know. Dasia seems distant lately." I finally got up in my bed to change into a Yay-I-don't-want-to-be-here-clothes.
"Why? Does she hate you?" Raven really? How can Dasia hate me? I was the only one who stayed with her when she cheated on David to some soccer player douche.
"How could she." I answered.
"Yeah. She can't hate you. Maybe she just wanted this Calvin guy."
Maybe.
"Raven, Will's calling you." She immediately ran to her phone while holding a pencil trying to fix her brows.
"Okay! We'll be right down." She answered Will.
"Ave let's go. They're already downstairs."
Ahh. Another beer and tequila night.
Honk Honk!
William Pardo and Jerry Myles Ziegler are the only ones in the car.
