Robby POV

"I always knew you'd end up here sooner or later, with your father or not." Kreese said.

I chuckled. "Whatever."

"So are you going to join or would you just like a place to crash for a few nights?"

That stopped me in my tracks.

"Well, I'm not sure about that for now. Maybe I'll just crash here for a few nights."

Kreese nodded. "That's fine by me."

Just then, Tory, Hawk, and some other Cobra Kais I didn't recognize walked in.

"What's he doing here? He's not one of us." Hawk complained.

Kreese frowned "He's probably just going to crash here for a few nights. For now, Keene is our guest. With the All Valley back on, we need as much strength as we can get."

"We don't need him."

"He put Miguel in the hospital."

"He's the enemy."

"You know, when I was overseas, it was hard to tell who was the enemy. A defenseless local one minute would pull a knife on your throat the next. But you know what I learned?"

"What's that?"

"The enemy of your enemy is your friend."

The Cobra Kais all glared at me, and then left except for Tory.

"Quitting already? I thought your girlfriend was there, wasn't she? "

"Ex-girlfriend.

"Whatever."

"And I never said I was joining in the first place. I don't belong here."

"Oh, so you're running away? That worked well for you last time."

"I'm not running away."

"You know, I hated you for what happened to Miguel. I hated Sam LaRusso. I hated everyone. But I hated myself the most. I didn't have the luxury of running away. Sensei Kreese taught me all that hate and if you channel it, it makes you stronger. And it feels good."

Seems good, I thought.

"Listen, a bunch of us are getting together after class. You should come. Or you could run away again. Just be there after practice, and you can ride with us."

"I'll come."

Sam POV

Miguel flipped me over, and then when our faces were together, I pressed my lips to his. We wrapped our arms around each other and started kissing each other passionately until Dad opened the door and walked inside.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"

"Dad, sorry."

"It's okay, but is that my drum in your pocket?"

Miguel took it out and gave it to him.

"I-I think that I should leave." Miguel said.

After he left, I got back up.

"Look, I'm sorry, Dad. I should have told you that I invited Miguel over."

"New rule, if you're going to bring boys over to the dojo, you should just leave the door open if you two are inside, so I don't walk in on you."

"Come on, Dad. It's not 1984.

"Look, you're growing up. You're becoming a young woman now. I get it that you want to be with boys sometime."
