Wei Ying's POV
Every day is the same just doing chores and getting hurt for any small mistake I do or getting blamed by my "sister", I remember one day I was just happy with my mom and dad, and the next thing I know they are dead. It's been like how long a year? What's so ever, I remember the last thing my mom told me this when she died, she said: "never stop smiling and forgiving my small child, never stop being happy if you're in a bad situation, trust me it will always get better I love you, Wei Ying....". I never forgot my mom's words I will always remember her, my life is the kind of where I live in the backyard with just a bed. To make matters worst I had a foster family, but they don't love me they just kind of use me as their slave, and they are just abusive to me. My foster father was an alcoholic, that would often cheat on his wife, but every time I told her she never believed me she would just slap me and tell me to go back to cleaning. My foster mom was an abusive woman who would use her belt to smack me for the smallest mistakes. My foster sister will always blame everything on me, even though they saw her break glass, for example, they would always blame me, until I went outside to the market to get some food, I accidentally bump into someone...
Wei Ying: I am sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you
???: Is ok, what is your name?
Wei Ying: My name is Wei Ying, courtesy name Wei Wuxian, what about you?
Lan Huan: My name is Lan Huan, but the majority of people call me by my courtesy name, Lan Xichen.
Wei Ying: *gives his toothy smile to him* Nice to meet you
Lan Xichen: May I ask why are you so banged up?
Wei Ying: My foster family... but it's ok I can live with it *smiles again*
Lan Xichen: Wait right here I will be right back
After a few minutes Lan Xichen came back with somebody I didn't know he looked like a grandpa
Lan Qiren: So this is the kid that you wanted me to meet, he is banged up so we will take him back to Gusu with us, may I know your name little one
Wei Ying: Wei Ying courtesy name Wei Wuxian *gives a smile to him*
Lan Qiren: May you take me to your foster family, Wei Wuxian.
Wei Ying: Ok... *notices someone behind Lan Qiren grabbing tightly his robe* Hi *giving his smile*
???: Hi...
Wei Ying: What is your name?
Lan Zhan: Lan Zhan, courtesy name Lan Wanji
Lan Qiren: Lead the way kid
A few minutes later we reach my foster parents home, and let's just say that quickly turned into a mess:
Foster mom: Why would we give him to you?
Lan Qiren: *hands them 3 pouches of money*
Foster mom: *grabs the pouches* Take him we don't like him anyway.
Finally, after that I was free I didn't have to suffer from them anymore, I was free, but I was also curious about that boy he didn't talk much I think he is really shy, but he looks nice I wanna talk to him more.
Lan Qiren: From now on I will be your legal guardian, and your name from here on out will be, Lan Ying, and courtesy name Lan Wuxian, when we head back to Gusu you will receive your headband.
Wei Ying: Yes, um
Lan Qiren: Call me, uncle Lan Ying
Wei Ying: Yes uncle, me Wei- I mean Lan Ying will do any task he has been given.
It will probably take me a while to get used to my new name, Lan Ying, I think I am going to talk to Lan Zhan, I wanna get to know him better.
Wei Ying: Hey Lan Zhan, you seem nice so I wanna get to know you better.
Lan Zhan: Ok, Lan Ying *smiles a little bit*
Lan Xichen: Lan Ying, tomorrow we will be traveling back home to Gusu, we will give you a month to adjust after a month you will start your training.
Wei Ying: Yes Lan Gege *smiles widely*
It was 9 pm all the Lan's were asleep except for me I was nervous to go to a new place, I have always been here is all I have ever known, what if they don't like me, Mama, why did you have to leave me *starts crying blood*, Oh yea I can cry blood that is why my mom always told me not to cry, but I can't help but feel scared of going to Gusu, but after all, they saved me from my foster family *puts on a serious face* I promise Mama, I will not stop smiling, but I also promise me Lan Ying will take all my studies seriously, I want to make Uncle proud to not mess up this chance the day of tomorrow, I will go to Gusu and not fail.
The Next Day...
Right now all the Lan's were packing their stuff, on the other hand since I didn't have much stuff I am all packed up now. So I was just waiting for the other Lan's to pack their stuff. Lan Zhan was already finished, so I wanna talk with him:
Wei Ying: Lan Zhan, hi *smiles widely*
Lan Zhan: H-hi
Wei Ying: Wei- Lan Ying wants to get to know you better, so how are you?
Lan Zhan: I-I am good, what about you?
Wei Ying: I am also good, you're pretty you know, how old is Lan Zhan.
Lan Zhan: *ears turn red* I am 6 years old, and t-thank you *smiles a bit*
Wei Ying: I am 6 years old too, and I hope we can be best friends forever *hugs him*
Lan Zhan: *smiles a little more and hugs him back*
Lan Xichen's POV
I have never seen Lan Zhan hug somebody that is not family, Wei Ying is special and when somebody is special to Lan Zhan he gets will never let them go.
Lan Qiren: Boys the boat is here, we must now head back to Gusu.
Lan Member: *bows* Master Lan please come on, and may I ask who is?
Lan Qiren: I am gonna be the little boy's legal guardian from now on, his name was Wei Ying now is Lan Ying he will be a new Lan Clan member.
Wei Ying: Hi *gives his toothy smile*
Lan Member: Hi, please come on in Lan Wanji, Lan Xichen, and Lan Ying *bows again and smiles*
Wei Ying: Thank you *bows and hops to the boat*
Lan Member: They are all in let's go back to Gusu!
Wei Ying's POV
It was finally time, I am going to see Gusu, I am going to focus on studying there I wanna make Uncle proud, but I also want to make Mama and Dada proud, I am nervous but excited I was wondering how Gusu is like, I will have to find out, I promise I will be a strong cultivator when I grow up.
Wei Ying: Lan Zhan lets make a promise, let's be the strongest cultivators when we grow up *puts pinky finger up*
Lan Zhan: Ok we will be *interwinds pinky finger with Wei Ying*
I am going to make Uncle and Lan Zhan proud now I promise and my parents of course
THIS CHAPTER TOOK FOREVER RRRRRRREEEEEE and yes all of you probably didn't know this, but I love the Untamed (Mao Dau Zu Shi) or whatever *laughs in watching the Untamed for the 6th time* so I hope y'all like this story AUTHOR OUT :D
