"Oh you did so your giving up on basketball forever. I thought you wanted to change them back"My big sister said "I did but at my level I can never do it without a light"I said
"Why don't you just become your own light"she said "become my own light"I asked confused "yeah become your own light and find your own style of basketball. Use your low presence to your benefit"she said
"But I already did that and I am no where near their level"I said with a sigh "Otoutosan you haven't reached your true potential. You still have a long way to go but with the right trainer you will get to where you need to be"she said
"Oneesan can you please become my trainer"I said giving her puppy dog eyes "I will on one condition"she said "what is it"I asked "beat the generation of miracles"she said "deal"I said
"Okay get changed we are heading to the park"she said putting her books away and heading to her room. I decided to do the same thing. I got dressed in basketball appropriate attire and headed out. My sister was also in basketball attire. She grabbed her bag and we headed out.
"So we are going to play street basketball we haven't done that since your sixth grade year"I said "well I need to assess your play style and see what I can teach you"she said "well just to earn you I suck"I said "I know but I need to know what I am working with Otoutosan"she said and I nodded.
The court was a ten minute walk from our apartment complex. When we got to the court it empty. She put her bag down and got out a basketball. She tossed me the ball. I learned how to pass from her "start little brother"she said and we started to play. I lost badly to her 30-0.
"You are terrible but I know what I am going to teach you"she said "you do"I asked "Yup. We are going to enhance your passes. And we are going to work on your dribbling. And you are going to hear how to rebound with your misdirection"She said
"Are you sure I can learn that"I asked "we have six months before high school basketball tryout and a year before the winter cup. I think I can improve your skills by then. During the summer you will be training with my current high school team and get a flow of how to play with them as well. So you need to be prepared for three months from now"She said
"Okay big sister thank you"I said "don't thank me yet kid. We have three months to to go before summer time"She said and I nodded "another round"I asked "your on"she said.
