Hey guys!! Here's your new chapter. Apologies for the late update, I had exam week. But I'm on holidays now so it's all good i should have more time :) hope you enjoy!
I groaned as I flipped through my chem textbook, frustrated with my lack of progress. What the hell is a covalent network?!
I'd been planning on studying my ass off all weekend so I could get my grade up by myself, and subsequently cancel on tutoring with Blake but after 5 hours, two cheese toasties, 3 red bulls and a bowl of two minute noodles, I had gotten nowhere.
Slamming my textbook closed I gave up. As much as I despised him I knew I'd have to tolerate Blakes presence if I wanted to get anywhere. I needed to get a good grade on this test to get Mrs. Hunter off my back.
Getting up I opened my wardrobe to look through my options for the party tonight. Jack and Darcie were picking me up at in half an hour but I still hadn't managed to find a balance between 'easy slut' and 'churchgoer'.
I finally settled on a black, geometric-hem mini skort and a white top with a rectangle of perforated holes under the bust. I paired the whole thing with orange sandals, and wore some light lip-gloss to match. I decided to straighten my hair and apply a little makeup as well, not wanting to look like a train wreck.
My phone beeped while I was applying a final coat of mascara and I picked it up to see that Darcie had texted me that she was waiting out front for me with Jack. I popped my phone and lip gloss in a small black clutch and headed down stairs, picking up my overnight bag as I left my room.
I was just opening the front door when I heard Alex behind me.
"Where do you think you're going?"
I sighed and turned around. "I'm going to a party with Darcie and Jack and then I'm staying over at Darcie's. I told you, remember?"
Alex raised an eyebrow. "Yeah and I told you I didn't think that was a good idea."
I rolled my eyes and tapped my foot impatiently, pissed that he thought his opinion had any sway over my decisions. I told him as such.
He ran a hand through his hair and let out a breath of frustration. "So you're just going to go anyway, regardless of what I think?" He looked at me, with an angry expression on his face.
"Yep" I said, popping the p, before whirling around and shutting the front door in his face. I didn't care how bitchy I was being. I was still hurt over what he'd said to me yesterday and I wasn't ready to let that go.
"You look so hot K!" Darcie screeched as I climbed into the back seat of the car, the warmth of the heater enveloping me. I smiled at her vacantly, lost in my thoughts about Alex.
Jack twisted around from the driver's seat and smiled at me softly, seemingly sensing I wasn't really in the mood to talk. "You ready to go baby K?" he asked expectantly.
"You bet, let's party!" I grinned, stifling my emotions. I was determined to enjoy myself tonight.

When we reached 'calculus boy's' house my jaw dropped in shock. This wasn't a house. This was a frickin mansion! All of the lights were out and instead there were coloured flashing lights and strobe lights everywhere. The house vibrated with the sound of the fast-paced music the dj was playing, and everywhere I looked there were sweaty bodies grinding on each other.
"I'm gonna go get a drink guys. You want anything?" Darcie shrieked at us, almost immediately after we walked in the door.
Jack and I both declined and Darcie grinned while rolling her eyes at us. "Pussies" she teased. "I'll see you guys later then. Don't get too frisky". I didn't have time to reply as she disappeared into the mass of dancing bodies straight away.
