"What precious kits!" My mother purred happily. "They're so beautiful!" Me and my sister were very pretty cats. I was a lovely calico that seemed to have every color and pattern known to cat lying within my coat; there were even silver and gold speckles evenly distributed throughout my fluffy fur. One of my eyes was blueish purple that wasn't quite violet, and the other a greenish yellow the color of the grass in the morning. I was already a cherished kit, according to the prophecy, starclan had died and their spirits went into me and my sister. It seemed to be true after all, the medicine cats had stopped seeing visions.
I had an amazing name as well, Katerallakit, I had a sister too, her name was Verusalakit, she had half the power, and I had the other half of the spirits. We loved each other practically to bits, and shared everything, she was also practically my twin, except I had more dark blue, and she had more dark red. Other than that we were as identical as you can be.
Almost as soon as we were born, (born at the same time) we were both able to talk. My mother, Frostwhisker, and my father, Bramblefoot, were more then shocked.
"It's a lovely day mother!" We said in unison.
She seemed a bit scared, "Oh dear oh dear they are the Star Clan children! I've heard about this- Why oh why did it have to be mine... I thought they would be born in Thunderclan! Not here in River Clan. This is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous," She did not seem at all pleased. "I wish I had normal children!"
My father turned to her, "They are out children Frostwhisker! How could you say something like that?"
"Well, we're just lucky they are born out here in the forest! We can say that they were dead. Buried them out here and we don't walk to talk about it. We should just leave them out here!" My mother seemed furious, but we couldn't figure out what was going on, we were still technically kits after all.
That night was 9 moons ago, me and Verusalakit by some miracle we were able to survive on our own. We decided that it was time we had a proper warrior cat ceremony. We had no idea why we knew what we knew, and why we kept on having visions that always seemed to be the truth, but it made sense to do what they showed us to do.
"Verusalakit! I know you never became an apprentice but you have the skill to become a warrior!" I proudly told my sister.
Katerallakit! I know you never became an apprentice but you have the skill to become a warrior!" She proudly told me.
The words we said at the same time, as we did with everything else, that was just our way.
"Verusalarose!" I yowled into the sky.
"Katerallaviolet!" My sister yowed into the sky with me.
"Looks like we officially have our names!" I told my sister.
"We sure do!" She replied back enthusiastically.
From that day on though, we started getting more and more of these strange visions. It wasn't just when we were sleeping anymore, we would suddenly just see cats running, fleeing away from a burning camp. Lightning, an unbalance striking onto the cats home. We had never actually encountered a clan cat, when we were kits, we had wandered into the Twolegplace and we slept in a truck, when we woke up we had ended up in another forest. It wasn't all that far, and the humans were kind to us. They called the place Central Park and besides the city noises at the border of the park, it was a peaceful place we enjoyed living at. Getting out of this place would be a completely different story though.
