Epilogue (So much fluff)

It had only been a few months since your first escapade with Freddy, but to you, it had felt like a decade had gone by.

Most days passed without incident, though a big one in particular forced a lot of changes inside of the Pizza plex.

You sat on a stainless steel table, waving good-bye to your crew and your newly promoted assistant manager. It had been long overdue and honestly, it worked out for everyone.

Having an assistant manager gave you a lot more flexibility. You were now able to come in later to help during the rush hours and to stay late in order to do food prep and make sure everything was clean and ready for the next day. Not only did this allow for you to also spend more time with Freddy during off hours, but you had also been officially cross trained in "basic animatronic repairs" and had been given a pretty hefty raise for the additional responsibilities. This gave you every excuse to spend immeasurable amounts of time with your partner, and even gave you access to parts and services when you needed. Of course, this also meant you had to actually tend to the other robotic animals but luckily, you enjoyed their company enough...even Monty.

While waiting on your evening help to show up, you thought back to that day.

The day when Gregory showed up.

The day that you had come to work and found him standing outside with Freddy and Vanessa.

The day you learned what had happened inside the facility so you had to go searching for the other band mates.

The day you thought your partner had gotten reset.

'To be honest, it had been a shitty day.' You think, chuckling.

But, it was also the day you realized that you were here for the long haul.

You glance over as the kitchen door swings open, revealing Gregory. He sets his school bag down before tying an apron around his waist.

You jump off the table and stretch. "Alright kiddo, ready to get started?"

"I guess?" he shrugs, not an ounce of excitement anywhere to be seen.

"Oh, so I guess you're not looking forward to learning knife skills?"

That seemed to do the trick. Gregory stood tall, eager and starry eyed. You chuckle, "That's what I thought. A lot more exciting than math, huh?"

He pulls up a small step stool and stands next to you.

The extra funds to your paycheck allowed you to take the steps to legally adopt Gregory; and thanks to some local grants, you were also able to enroll him in public school. Now, you were just trying to save up to move into a bigger place. Your old couch was doing a number on your back since you had let Gregory have your room.

You watch him cut vegetables like you taught, nodding to yourself when he picks up fairly quick on the techniques.

"Nice! Alright, remember just go slow if you're not sure. I'll be right over here kneading the dough if you need me."

The next half hour passes steadily, you fill the silence by playing music and asking Gregory about school and his new friends.

"Have you told anyone at your school about Freddy?" you laugh.

"Pffft, What about him?"

"That he's basically your dad...?"

A familiar strong grip is on your hips, your hair briefly distrubed from a huff of air near your neck.

"Dad?" Freddy asks loudly. You can hear the smile in his voice. "I would be honored to be Gregory's father figure, but shouldn't you ask me first, love?"

You spin around in his arms and grin up at him.

"Well, I was going to but I think we need to ask Gregory before anything else."

You both turn to the boy, your hands lightly draped over Freddy's that rested on your stomach.

At first, he looks like a deer in headlights. You open your mouth to reassure him before he cuts you off.

"Wouldn't that be weird? Telling people that *the* Freddy Fazbear was my 'dad'?" he used air quotes for emphasis.

"What? Dude, I don't know about you but I would think that's a huge flex. And following it up with the fact that you get to eat and basically do whatever you want here?"

You shrug. "Damn, Gregory, you're sounding kinda lame right now, not gonna lie."

You couldn't hide the smirk on your face. Freddy gasped your name, chidding you for picking on the kid, but you knew that the bear wouldn't understand.

Gregory's face and ears flushed. "I...I mean, it wouldn't be the *worst* thing in the world..."

You walk up to him and pull him into a hug, laughing at his protests while you tease him about his new "parents".

Then, you're being lifted into the air, Gregory still in your arms. You both yelp and laugh harder when you realize Freddy is lifting you into a hug, wrapping his arms around the both of you.

"T-that doesn't mean I'm gonna call you 'dad' or 'mom'!!" Gregory stutters.

"You can call as whatever you want, kiddo. We'll come running either way."

You snuggle against the both of them, finally feeling a tangible sense of calm for the first time in a long time.

The three of you were finally home.
