7: "Are We Actually Going To Do Anything?"

Just a Note:

This chapter is somewhat short, but the next few ones will definitely be longer and a little more dramatic.

[Anastasia's POV]

"Ugh, I absolutely love you delicious Starbucks drink," I held up the venti size cup in glorification.

"I told you that you'd like it," my best friend said with a smile. We were sat in silence for a bit admiring the gorgeous scenery of Central Park.

"So... how you been?" Kenzie asked.

"It's been like a few weeks and I'm getting the hang of it. I fell into a routine with Tyler, I'm getting used to the nightmares, and I know the names of half the stuff in the booth."

"Speaking of Tyler, how is he? Not being able to sleep next to you and stuff must be pretty hard for him."

"He doesn't talk to me about stuff like that but I'm sure it is, he loves me so much and here I am having to re-learn his favorite color."

"Well, he's a patient man who loves you more than anything in the world, he's just happy you're still alive."

I raised my head abruptly, "What if he leaves?" Tears stung my eyes. I'd be the first one to admit that I've grown kind of attached to the man.

That was probably my biggest fear at the moment, though. That Tyler would get tired of loving a woman who didn't know how match the feelings and leave. Leave me and the baby.

"Oh, sweetie, he would never leave you... he's just that whipped."

"You don't know that," I cried, " he's going to get tried of trying to love me and he'll leave."

"I'll be right back," she told me promptly. I looked up at her to nod, but she was already a few feet away. I watched her as she pulled out her phone and called someone. She stood with her back to me but I could tell they were in serious conversation.

"Who was that?" I asked when she came back.

"No one, we should go eat."

"Where?" I was always up for food.

"This little Mexican joint I know you love, come on we gotta go before the lunch special is over."

I got to my feet and she lead me a few blocks away to a restaurant named Los Compadres. We had ordered when she got a phone call.

"Yeah, okay bye," she replied to the person on the other end after a while before tapping the End Call button. She suddenly pulled out her wallet and removed her credit card.

"I know we are supposed to be having a girls day but I've forgot to do something. Can we do something on our next off day?"

"Yeah, it's fine," I lied, "I'll be fine."

"I'll call you and you can just give the card back tomorrow at work."

She walked out and left me alone. I was almost done with my food when someone sat down.

"This seat taken?" The familiar voice asked. I looked up.

"Tyler?"

"Hi."

"You guys suck, I really thought she just left me here."

"No way, c'mere," he rose from his seat and I did the same to hug him. He wrapped his arms around me in return before I sat back down.
