"chat im not gonna tell you her name" jared said as his chat was questioning him on his girlfriend.
I never knew he had a girlfriend, but Clay did. He knew exactly who his girlfriend was. i hear his voice echo through the thin wall separating you both.
I have lived with Clay and jared for almost 10 months, I would even consider him one of my best friends. We spent nights in each other's rooms laughing and spending time with each other.
For a while, I had the thought of moving out, so that jared and Clay could live together for when Clays best friend George moves in. but I never told them. I planned on it... eventually.
But jared confirming he had a girlfriend shattered my heart. Its too late to tell him i was moving.
I went searching a week ago for an apartment that I could live in, I found the perfect one. It was a spacious modern apartment, located on the top floor of one of the buildings in the heart of the city. It had 2 bedrooms which was perfect because I wanted to turn one of them into my own library.
I applied when I saw it straight away and I didn't think I was going to get it, until 2 days ago. A notification popped up on the bottom right of my screen, it was the confirmation. The apartment I saw was finally my new house, I wasn't sure if it was my new home though. But it was good enough.
Today was moving day, my mum helped me shop for furniture yesterday, it was being sent to my new house ready for me to spend hours building for my use. But I just needed to pack up my bedroom.
Putting all my stuff in boxes, I waited til I knew jared wasn't coming out of his room to move my bed into the back of the truck to which it was finally ready to drive to my apartment. My room finally was all packed up and gone except for my 2 suitcases full of clothes.
Tears fell from my eyes, leaving this place hurt me. Clay was at work so I never got to say goodbye to him before I went to my new house. An hour passed with me just sitting on the floor, Clay would be coming back in 1 hour, I knew exactly what time because it was always the same time every day. I would stand at the door to greet him with a hug and talk to him.
Time to go.
Walking out of my room and down the hall, I saw jared. He was sitting on the couch in the living room, which was next to the front door. I froze for a second.
"what? Its like you have seen a ghost" he joked, smiling I giggled slightly holding the tears back.
"you just scared me" I spoke. "anyways, im going to drop these suitcases at my mums house"
Jared looked up at me, he just nodded his head and he looked down at his phone again.
I walked out the down, holding my breath while tears streamed down my face, I lied to him, I lied to Clay. I told Clay this morning I would see him after work but I knew I wouldn't.
The door clicked and locked behind me.
I drove to my apartment, silent, no music. I just drove. Half an hour went past and I looked at the time, Clay would be home soon. Taking a deep breath I pulled into the underground parking lot and found my spot.
Turning my car off, I put on my hoodie because the coldness hit my body.
The car boot popped open and I took the 2 lavender coloured suitcases out. Moments later I found my self pulling them up road towards the elevator.
The elevator was a silver colour. A beep chimed as the doors slowly parted leading the way as I could walk into it. Letting go of my suitcases once in, I pressed the button for level 7.
