CHAPTER 1

It had been a few months since you last went to Berk. Honestly - you missed it a bit. Not as much as you feared you would though.

"Have you considered building a house?" Dalfon asked. "I feel like it would be more... civil."

You smiled at him. "Nah. Hiccup and the other teens of Berk have been flying near this island more lately. I heard it's 'patrol' or whatever. I can't risk being discovered that way."

"Reasonable," Dalfon nodded, sitting down on the sand next to you. "Where's Glacier? I want her to entertain me."

You chuckled. "No idea. But if you go looking for her, don't get caught by anyone and be back by sunset, okay?"

"Sure thing, N/n! See ya!" he said cheerfully before flying off.

You laid down on the sand, looking at the clear blue sky and enjoying the soft breeze blowing through the air.

"Y/n!" you heard a yell, some water splashing onto the shore.

"Heatwave, what is it?" you asked, sitting up and turning your attention to the frantic dragon.

"I was swimming with my friend and he got caught by Outcasts! I know they won't really hurt him because they train dragons too now but he knows they're bad and will put up a fight and I don't want him to get hurt and-" he explained agitatedly, you cut him off.

"Shh, Heatwave," you said calmly, "it's okay. We'll get your friend back, I promise."

You lifted your hand and he looked at it for a second before putting his nose against it.

You smiled. "Now let's go. We're heading to Outcast Island."
