Chapter Twelve

Shakunthala watched as her husband Ramakrishna threw another vase on the floor as he roared in anger.

"Enga thediyum kedaikala! Apdi enga dhan pona ava! Arrgh" Ramakrishna roared and threw another vase on the floor.

(Can't find her anywhere! Where would she go!"

"Ipdi veetla iruka vase ah va potu odacha ava thirumba vandhruvala" Shakunthala said rolling her eyes at her husband, "Athaan aalunga anupirukinga dhana. Edho rowdy ta soli kandupidika solren soninga, yenna achu?"

(If you break these vases, would she come back?) (You have sent your goons right. You mentioned a rowdy would help us, what did he say?)

"Andha aal ta kalai la dhan pesunen. Kedaikala aana theda soliruken nu sonaru" Ramakrishna said as he sat down.

(I spoke to him this morning. He said his men are still searching for her)

"Apo andha aal ta modha kelunga yenna yethu nu" Shakunthala said grabbing TV remote, "Andha pakkama poe pesunga. Naan serial pakanum"

Ramakrishna huffed in annoyance before he grabbed his mobile and walked out of the living room to the corridor and sat down on one of the couches. Grumbling he dialed to Baba Baskar.

"Baba Baskar! Yenga ponna pathi yethuvum thagaval therinchutha!" Ramakrishna asked as soon as Baba Baskar picks up the call.

(Did you get any information on my girl?)

"Ramakrishna sir, pasanga ta soliruken. Theevirama theditu irukanga. Kandupidichuralam" Baba Baskar assured.

(I have asked my men to search. Will find her)

"Rendu naal aguthu. Avala kanom. Yenna aana yedhu aana nu onum puriyala. Koncham aalungala nala theda solunga" Ramakrishna faked being concerned which Baba Baskar can see through right away.

(It has been two days. She's still missing. I don't know what to do. Ask your men to search for her properly)

"Athellam kandu pidichuralam. Neenga dhairiyama irunga" Baba Baskar assured Ramakrishna who agreed half heartedly and hanged the call.

(We'll find her. Keep hope)

"Kaathula maranchu pona mathiri apdi yenga poerupa ava!" Ramakrishna can't help but wonder aloud.
