A/N: The story happens in two timelines representing different characters in each timeline that will have a connection to the current time in place. You'll see the change timelines with two different fonts.

Present day...
The sun was shining through the mountains, it was beautiful the sunlight was not that warm it was still five in the morning when Saduni woke up for the sound of a rooster.

She did not have good sleep for a while because she was having dreams about bombs, people crying, armless legless soldiers laying around on the floor.

As a girl who was born in a village she did not know what this meant but she surely knew if she spill about this to anyone the villagers would say its bad luck.

Saduni had no experience about the war she has heard about the war happened in Sri Lanka but she had no bad experience with it, she just thought she might be reading a lot of historical stuff so she thought to change the topics she was reading.

On the other side of the world Tom woke up to the sound of the traffic but he was not mad about it. He was calm and it was a rainy day for liverpool.

He was sipping his tea while reading the news paper article he wrote about narcissistic people and what it is all about. He was proud about his writing skills because he knew very well that not everyone was gifted with the skill of writing. Tom had been living all his life in Liverpool but he spoke fluent Italian, French and German because he studied greek and latin languages which were considered dead languages even though it is the base to most existing languages.

As Tom and Saduni and the whole world had studied the history of the world wars, in the year of 1939 1st of September Hitler invaded Poland and the world embraced the unfortunate. Till today some live in pain because of the world war that happened.

Year 1939

During this period of time Sri Lanka the small island, the pearl of the Indian ocean was captured and ruled by British meanwhile on September the 2nd 1939 France and Britain declared war against Germany.

There lived a boy whose name was Don Nandideva De Silva, he was a proud Sri Lankan who thought of volenteering to the British navy as the rest of boys did in the world. He was proud that he was one of the few Sri Lankans that volunteered as well to serve in the world war.
