"Why do I listen to you?"

I grumbled at Denise as she dragged me into yet another store.I cursed her under my breath but she just laughed in my face.Damn Enhanced hearing.

After the sun set, Denise and Dare woke up, sadly. I would have liked to stay in Kaine's arms for quite a long time. Making out with him was an added bonus. But we were so rudely interpreted by my dearest brother and best friend. She just barged into my room with Dare in tow, and shouted at us, "GET UP LOVEBIRDS! WE NEED TO GO!" It was so embarrassing! I buried my face into Kaine's chest, rock solid chest, I might add. Kaine just chuckled at me. I almost threw them out of my room just so I can continue with Kaine. Almost.

"Hellooo? Are you listening to me?"

Denise's voice broke me out of my daze. She snapped her fingers in front of my face.

"What?"

I snapped at her, irritated at her for distracting me from daydreaming about Kaine. Denise laughed at me and I growled lowly at her. I should really throw her out of my house. Not that it would keep her out, but it would make me feel better.

"Daydreaming about someone, aren't we?" Denise teased me lightly.

After I bought my disguise, Denise shooed Kaine and Dare away so that we can continue shopping and have our 'girl talk'.

Dare was happy to get out of shopping but Kaine was reluctant to leave me. Such a sweet mate.

"Are you sure you will be alright?" Kaine asked with a cute frown on his face.

"I''ll be fine." I smiled at him. Kaine swooped in for another kiss before leaving.

After they left, Denise forced me to spill the beans.

"Okay, spill girl."

I raised my eyebrow.

"Impatient, are we?" I said, an amused smile on my face. She reminds me of an excited little kid. A dangerous excited little kid who could do serious damage to you when pissed off.

"So? Are you guys like together now? Will you complete the mating? How do you feel about him."

Denise bombed me with countless questions.

"Look let's find a place to sit, alright? This is gonna be a long conversation." I said, leading her to cafe next to the store we were in.

I ordered a chocolate latte and Denise ordered dark coffee.

"So?" Denise asked me when our drinks came. I thanked the waitress before taking a sip of my latte. I signed and started to explain my inner turmoil to Denise. She gives good advices. Most of the time anyways.

"You know about my past, Nise. I'm afraid. What if I can't give him the love he should get from a mate? He might not even want me if I tell him about my past. I really like him, and the bond is starting to effect me. I cannot Not have him near me."

Denise just squeezed my hand as I poured all my insecurities to her.

I felt better after I have it all out of my system. Denise is always someone I could count on, hence my best friend.

"I feel much better. Thanks.

I smiled at Denise gratefully.

"If Kaine really loves you, I'm sure he won't mind. I seen the way he looks at you when he thinks no one is looking. Hell, even if someone was looking, he just look at you adoringly and like your the world to him. Which, you probably are."
