The wrestling world looked a whole lot different in 2013 as the WWE was slowly building towards a new generation. It still wasn't completely PG, but some of the more entertaining things were cut left, right and Centre. Of course things weren't easy back then either as every brand had to be represented at their best. Some instances also brought forth new Superstars who would become big hits with most of the younger fans in attendance. There was nothing that held them back at the time as their new wave began to manifest.

One of the newer superstars was Alex Ambrose, a very hard hitting, methodical and a little bit sadistic individuals in the ring.

He was really a promising star in the business already after his initial tryout back in 2012. Fans and critics took a liking to him quite well and his first batch of merch was sold out very quickly. On top of that, Alex was very active during promos and interviews, being vocal about anything that riled him up.

At the time, the young man just finished a match against William Regal.

One of the most traditional wrestlers WWE had and held in high regard by many people. William was incredibly versatile in British wrestling. It was really an interesting mix to see William and Alex go at it, but it came at a price. Alex won, but he suffered a dislocated shoulder and some bruises all over his body, along with a small cut on his lower lip and a black eye as well. To be honest, Alex didn't have it easy in life. He didn't know that much about wrestling back then which was quite a disadvantage already. But on top of that was the fact that Alex had nobody to guide him. No parents to show the way. He was left on his own just about all the time.

Alex: When I listen to my heart, it's not always telling me the best direction to go...screw it. I made it this far and I know I can do it again and again.

Alex always did his best to stay motivated in every situation, but it was hard. It was hard to get through tryouts, it was hard to meet the expectations of others. Many people said he couldn't do it, but Alex didn't listen to those haters and proved them wrong in a matter of months. He knew what he was capable of and what he otherwise. Sure, he still struggled at times and that didn't make things easier, but he didn't look back at the past. Alex stayed in the present and focused on what was ahead.

Speaking of what was ahead, Alex saw Eva Marie sitting down.

Alex and Eva have been friends for a bit this far, getting to know each other well and talking about almost everything when one of them was facing any kind of trouble. It was nothing unusual that they met, but Alex was very surprised when he noticed that Eva was crying.

This was something he couldn't let slide. Instead of walking away and not messing with this situation, Alex approaches Eva and sat down next to her to listen to her troubles. Both if them were sure that their talk would get very intense, but they surely didn't mind.

Alex: Hey, Eva. What's wrong?

Eva: Oh... Hey, Alex. It's nothing...

Alex: It doesn't look like nothing. You've been crying. Why?
