I don't know what time it is, and for once, I really don't care. Any time I waste could be the thing that leads to us being found. I've made my decision, and there are no second chances. They're coming for us. I sit up. I feel the aching pain of my various bruises. Despite being trained as a Dauntless for nearly five years, jumping off of trains is definitely not my cup of tea. I yawn and stretch before walking out of the room that the Amity had let me stay in. I see Serenity exit her room. I join her as we walk to the women's bathroom. We both feel the same about the need to shower. The bathroom is very rustic and had a homey feel to it with the brown tile floors and wood walls that separated the shower stalls. I notice a sign on the back wall that says REMEMBER: TO CONSERVE RESOURCES, SHOWERS RUN FOR FIVE MINUTES. The sign doesn't bother me too much. I don't tend to take long showers. I turn on the faucet and stick my hand under it. I wait for the water to warm up. I wait nearly a minute and it's still freezing cold. I let out a sigh. I guess I'll be taking a cold shower. I hurry so the water doesn't cut off on me.

When I return to my room, I find a small stack of clothes. It consisted of a dull red sundress and a dandelion yellow cardigan. I could tell that Delilah had put the stack there for me. She's the only one who would take into consideration my love of cardigans and my dislike of wearing bright red. I put them on. The skirt of the dress is very long and flowy. I can't resist the urge to twirl in it. I look around to see if I'm being watched. I'm not. This is Amity. There's almost no surveillance. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I twirl around, letting my skirt twist with me. Since Amber is now part of Candor, we may be able to use that to our advantage. Candor has files on almost everything. Erudite does too, but I think that Candor's may have a bit more truth to them. And based on the fact that Erudite may or may not want to kill me, I think it would be best to stay clear of them for right now.

I walk out of my room and to the Amity cafeterias. I locate the others and sit with them. The sound of lively conversations fills the air. I think it gives this place a warm and inviting atmosphere. I kind of want to stay here forever. I know I can't though. "So, what are we going to do now?" I say.

"I don't know. We can't stay here forever," said Serenity.

"I bet they have both the real Dauntless and people from whatever we were just a part of looking for us," said Amber.

"I think we should rest. Once we get our strength back, we can go and figure something out," said Delilah.

"I'm with Lila for this one," said Peter.

"You know, this plan will only work if the Amity agree to us staying here," said Phoenix.

"Yeah, and I really hope they do," I say while taking a bite of my bread. It tasted a bit strange. Maybe it was because everything at Amity is grown here. They grow all their food. I take my mind off of the bread. My thoughts go back to my test results. Divergent, I repeat in my head. It may not look like it, but on the inside, I'm terrified. The Erudite are hunting the Divergent. Maybe since I'm now sort of a part of Erudite, they might spare me. My mood seems to cheer up a bit. I push that from my mind. I can worry about that later.
