longing fantasies

as the hours pass,
I will let you know,
that I need to ask before I'm alone,
how it feels to rest on your patient lips,
to eternal bliss, I'm so glad to know.

The crisp night sky caressed her cheeks and the wind that howled – as if in protest – whipped her hair in front of her face. There she could see him standing, the dim streetlights illuminating his grim and thoughtful face.

And then their gazes met.

Her breaths shallowed. This is the moment she had been dreaming of since the moment they had left each other's arms in such a distasteful way that the only option seemed to be the only way to redeem her longing soul. Yet, why did it hurt so much each step they took towards each other.

One step at a time, until the distance between them, was closed. She could smell him, his sickeningly comforting smell. Like a sailor swimming towards a siren, she felt daringly close to something so dangerous, yet as the cold wind brushed her hair about as it did before, she looked up at him and never felt as if she could have been anywhere else.

His eyes shone with brilliant mischief, as she remembered how he looked once...

He stood there analysing her, almost in disbelief that she had come.

She stood there scared out of her mind, about the things she had dreamed of coming true.

Just like their wildest dreams.

She couldn't bear it anymore, there was no way words could ever encapsulate the feeling of her heart wanting to explode out of its cage as they both stood there silently in astonishment. One hand then the other, she stretched her arms over his neck, bringing him down without much resistance, down to her cold, soft lips. He'd been dreaming of this moment for so long, it was almost as if they were actors on the stage of a play. Each action mirrored the other, both falling into the script of their imagination.

Their mouths began gently as if holding back the waves of terrible emotions kept within the vessels of bodies just waiting to explode. Cautious and careful, the silence was more than enough to keep it tame for a little while

He was taller than she remembered,

She was quieter than he remembered,

His hands wrapped around her waist, intertwining their bodies as the kissing became more frantic. Her heartbeats had gotten loud as if trying to drown out the sounds of sadness. The harder his grip on her waist had become, the more desperate and elaborate their actions were. Tears fell down their cheeks, and without words, they knew why.

Down

Down

Down

In their passion they were lost, fumbling around without a word to say, searching within each other for an answer. An answer to why they couldn't stop, couldn't stay away, couldn't speak.

His tears slid down her cheeks and fell down her chin as they kissed, savouring every moment they had together. As if it was their last moment on earth as if no one was watching as if they could never be ripped away.

Each kiss he placed burned her skin, one on her jaw, another on her neck and one on her collarbone. He dragged his lips back up her warm, shivering skin, breathing the smell of her in, the taste of their tears, up to her trembling mouth. He was intoxicated, wanting nothing more than to hold her for eternity, to stay in one moment forever and ever, forgetting the existence of a past or future.

The sweet taste of her on his lips, the soft cries she made as he nipped at her neck sent him over the edge. Dreams felt like nothing in comparison. If he could, he'd have devoured her, all to himself, her smell, her taste, her mind, and body.

A small bubble of air grew inside her throat and a shudder finally ripped itself out of her body. The wet whimpers gently caressed her as she finally broke down, staring up at his caring and analysing eyes. She once saw them as heartless and unfeeling but here he was, feeling the same things as she was. Holding her once more and making it known that her feelings weren't unrequited, just simply doomed for an eternity to a mutually destructive love.

He kissed her ferociously, taking in every moment he had, knowing it was going to end. They gave each other everything in a singular moment, hoping that it would soothe their hurting hearts. The hungry lips, taking hold of everything they could, holding onto the moment, telling each other things without words.

His hands went behind her thighs and lifted her onto the railings of the small bridge at which they had met, beneath a great blooming tree. As the wind blew around them, fastening them together, leaves fell, down, down, down, surrounding them in a cascade of fallen nature, a whirlwind of emotions and it seemed fitting.

She gripped her legs behind his hips, holding them together as they intertwined once more, not allowing space for words to get in the way. Though words didn't need to be said for their emotions to be felt. Hand entangled in their hair, tugging, pulling, scratching, and moaning. Tears continued to stream down her face as she gasped for air when he bit her. It hurt yet she'd wanted nothing more than to be bit once more, to feel his teeth sink into her flesh, hurting her, again and again.

He watched her as she slowly succumbed to her emotions. He felt it on her skin, the warm rage building inside, and the ferocity of her lips and he wanted nothing more than to give her everything that he'd ever dreamed of. That he had once promised her long ago.
