Luz was positioned with her friends above the Emperor's Palace. They had planned this for a week and a half, and she intended this to go well. She looked down upon the Palace, a look of determination on her face.

"Everyone knows the plan, right?" Amity asked, her Palisman, Ghost, at her side.

When everyone nodded, the group decided to revise the plan right away.

"So, we enter the Emperor's Palace and use invisibility glyphs to get inside." Luz began, indicating for someone else to say the next part. Luckily, Gus got the gist of it.

"We sneak around until we get to a good position, then we split into two teams,"

"The teams are: Eda, Luz, and King," Amity continued. "and then Willow, Gus and I."

"One group, Group 1, enters the throne room, to see if the Emperor actually has gotten angrier," Eda resumed. "While Group 2 looks for any clues to do with the Golden Guard."

"But, we have to be in and out within 20 minutes," Willow said, finishing it off. "If we come back with no results, then we just don't have results."

"Great! Now that we've revised the plan," Luz said, standing up. "We can infiltrate the Emperor's Palace!"

The teams flew in, using invisibility glyphs and illusion magic to go unseen. The second their feet hit the ground, the burst into action.

They waited until a guard had opened the doors to slip in after them. The timer had started, and from there they only had 20 minutes to get the information.

They maneuvered past scouts and guards, managing to slip past them all unseen.

When they entered an empty space, that they assumed was in the middle of the Palace, they split up.

Luz was running ahead of her team, listening closely for any signs of movement. She checked around, giving herself a minute to see if everything was safe. When she was sure all was quiet, she indicated for Eda and King to follow her.

They snuck through the long, ominous hallways, barely coming across any guards. For a while, they began to think they were lost before they heard shouting.

What in the Titan..?

Luz allowed herself to go invisible, going ahead to see what was happening.

She peeked into the throne room, then gasped in surprise.

"You good for nothing scouts!" Belos growled, voice laced with venom. "If you cannot succeed such an easy task, then why not just leave the Coven?"

He really has gotten angrier... Luz thought, slipping into the throne room.

"E-Emperor Belos, the task was dangerous and close to impossible-"

"Excuses will not be tolerated!"

"Uh, E-Emperor?" Kikimora said, nervously speaking up from the corner. "T-The mission may have been unsuccessful today, but now that we're more prepared, I'm sure-"

"And you, Kikimora!" Belos said, his cold gaze falling on the small creature. "I recruited you for your strength and intelligence... I suppose I was wrong."

"N-No, Emperor, I-I can do better, but if you told me why you were upset, I could help-"

"Silence!" Belos yelled, his voice echoing through the halls. A hushed sensation filled the room, the air suddenly feeling uneasy.
